That Little Girl (2)

She felt something warm is touching her face.  As she opened her eyes, nakita niya ang puting kisame at puting kurtina.  She suddenly got up making her dizzy and disoriented.
"Where am I?" Thinking out loud after trying to remember what happened.
"Ang sabi ko ingatan mo ang sarili mo, hindi maghanap ng ikapapahamak mo!" She heard someonenrant beside her, voice a little cold as if reprimanding her.
"What happened?" As she continued to get up and winced because of pain.
"You were knocked down and your nape suffered a bruised kaya masakit pa iyan.  Yan din ang dahilan kung bakit nasa hospital ka ngayon!" May diing sabi ni Richard.
"Si Ate Ruby? Nasaan?" She said after recalling the recent events.
"I dont know.  You were knocked out daw sabi ng mga taong nagdala sa iyo dito and apparently they dont know who did it, they just saw you lying down on the dirt.  They were trying to wake you up but  to no avail so they brought you here.  They saw your "ID" kaya natawagan nila ako!" Malamig pa ding tugon ni Richard.
"Anong oras na?" Maine asked, as she is now trying to think of the event earlier.  He was trying to solve a puzzle on her mind.
"Past 6pm!" Richard said.
"What??? I've been down for almost a day?" Maine said, gulat na gulat.
"Oo, at subukan mo lang umalis sa kamang yan, makakatikim ka na sa akin talaga!" Richard said this time, mas malakas at matigas ang boses niya ipakita kay Maine ang estado ng nararamdaman niya!
"Richard, what the hell -- !" Maine was about to retort, when she saw the pain and agony on his face.
"You have been lying there or almost a day nursing a big bruise on your nape.  You don't know how I am feeling habang tinitingnan ka at hindi nagigising.  Hindi mo alam ang kabang nararamdaman ko dahil sa halos hindi ka gumagalaw diyan.  Diyan ka ba talaga masaya? Ang pag-alalahin ang mga taong nagmamahal sa iyo? Ang mga taong nagmamalasakit sa iyo??" Richard continued his rant while Maine, for the first time, remained speechless, towards Richard. 
"You will be confined on that bed until we are done with your tests.  Subukan mo lang suwayin ako ngayon --- !" Richard said.
"At ano?? Anong gagawin mo??" Naiinis na hamon ni Maine kay Richard.
"Ito!" Sabay hablot sa mukha ng dalaga at hinalikan ng walang pakundangan.  Dahil nabigla nakaawang ang labi ng dalaga kaya nagkaroon ng access si Richard para palalimin ang halik nito.  Maine was so surprised but she felt her heart beats faster and as if he owned he body, she responded to his kisses! It took them several seconds before Richard stop te kiss.  When they stare at each other's eyes, they were both mesmerized.  They saw different emotions playing at each other's eyes.  And they were about to kiss again when the door bursts open!

"Ano ka ba, bakla? Hindi pa nga gumagaling ang mga sugat mo, eto na naman? Nagpapakamatay ka na ba talaga???" Paolo wailed, causing Maine and Richard woke up from the trance!

Upon realizing what they were about.to do again, they both blushed furiously!

"RJ what happened to her again? Ayyy,  bakit kayo namumula?? Anong meron???" Paolo was about to question what happened to Majne when he notice that the two are blushing.  At sobrang pula ng mukha ha kaya napansin niya agad!

"Wala!!" Sabay sabi ng dalawa, at ng magkatinginan, ay biglang napangiti! 

"Bakit ka nga pala nandito? May ipinapagawa ako sa iyo di ba?" Maine suddnly asked Paolo, nagmamadaling baguhin ang topic.

"I have the reports with me.  Mukhang may nagmamanman dito sa lugar!" Paolo said and forgot his interrogation with them.  Nakahinga ng maluwag si Maine pero ng tingnan niya sa Richard, napapangiti ang binata!

"Mag-uusap tayong dalawa mamaya, mahal! But for the mean time, tatawagin ko ang dokor para sa mga series of tests mo!" Richard said, not minding Paolo and went out to fetch the doctor!

Maine bluhed again, and prayed that Paolo didn't heard the term of endearment.  But apparently, her prayers have been declined.  She saw how big Paolo's eyes got upon realizing the words uttered by Richard!

"Hoy!!! Bakla!!! Anong mahal? Bakit mahal ang tawag niya sa iyo??" Paolo asked.

"Bes, for disguise yun! Dapat convincing ang act namin para hindi kami mahalata!" Maine said, nagpapalusot.

"Hoy, bakla! Wag ako! Alam mo bang Richard said that once he called someone "mahal", ibig sabihin nun, seryoso siya sa girl na yun!" Paolo said, being friends with Richard for quite sometime now, knows some trivia about him.

"At paano mo nasabi yun? Pwede namang obligasyon para sa misyon? Dapat kasi convincing kami.  Ang trivial nun para lang masabi yun!". Maine asked, but still blushing.  (Asus, aminin kasi na kinikilig ka! Haahaha - Author ).

"No, Nicomaine.  That "mahal" endearment was once used by his mother to call him as a child.  And because he loved that endearment, he swear that he would only call someone with that, when that person became important to him as his mother!" Paolo said.

"And you know this because???" Maine asked getting curious. 

"Because of her sister... I used to go by to their house and his sister always asked me if I heard his brother called someone
"mahal", sa dami daw kasi ng babaeng umaaligid sa kuya niya at pinormahan, wala pa daw bang totoong nakabihag dito! And apparently wala pa, nagkaroon man siya ng fling before I never heard him called them "mahal" even once! Ikaw lang!" Paolo said, with a teasing smile on his face.

"Bes, tumigil ka dahil for your information, we are in the middle of a mission to even consider that.  Another thing, he will not even looked at me in "that" way.  And lastly, talaga lang flirt yang bestie mo, kahit yata poste na pinaldahan, baka patusin pa niyan e!" Maine said, medyo naiinis at umiinit ang ulo kapag naiisip ang mga dating pagpa-flirt ng boss niya! Isa pa, baka pagbabarilin niya ang mga babaeng lalapit dito kung sakali! (Hala! What did i just said?? Maine said inwardly.. Bakit ko pinag-iisipan ng masama ang mga babaeng lalapit kay Richard??)

"But what if I tell you that I am serious and I really like you?  No erase that, i think I am falling for you, Nicomaine? What will you do??" Richard's voice echoed through the room upon hearing her predicament.  Medyo na-hurt ang ego niya, dahil sa paniwala ng dalaga sa pagkatao niya, but still h understand where she is coming from.  Sa dami ba naman ng katarantaduhan niya sa dalaga, never talaga siya nitong titingnan as good person.  But he swear to himself pag binigyan siya ng chance ng dalaga, papatunayan niya na seryoso siya!

"The question is, how will you prove yourself??" Maine asked, looking directly to his eyes. 

Richard's eyes widened at what she said, is she giving me a chance to prove myself to her!  He was about to.answer her and walke towards her bed when...

"Ate Ganda, Kuya Pogi help! My mommy is crying over the phone at aaway sa mommy ko!" Athena dashed towards Maine bed, crying, phone on hand!"..
