The following day, Dei felt tired but as everyone knows she is just Maine for a day! Meaning she has to be on the office. She is just a normal office girl. Naghiwa-hiwalay sila last night with each of them carrying thoughts about what happened last night. As for Maine, she is resolved on observing her boss thoroughly for her to confirm.

"Maigaganti na din kita! Maghintay ka lang!" Maine said inwardly... But as for now, she needs to set her bar higher, she needs to be more careful before the operation got busted! She can't afford to be careless!
Maine, as usual came to work as early as 7 in the morning. Same routine... She kept herself busy with all her pending correspondence. She is so busy when the door burst open and came Richard. Maine, was surprised to see her boss glance at her table clock. He is too early! Its only fifteen minutes after seven! As etiquette, she greeted her boss!
"Good Morning, Sir!" She said and glance at him for only a second to acknowledge his arrival. Richard, on the other hand, just nod his head as greeting. Richard walked to his office and start his day early and before they knew it, they were both engrossed on the paper works in front of them.
Medyo nagulat pa si Dei ng tumunog ang phone!
"Hello, RFJ Company, Good Morning!" She greeted on her casual tone. "What??????" Dei can't help it pero napalakas ang boses niya ng marinig ang sinasabi ng nasa kabilang linya... After the call, nataranta na si Maine!
Sa kabilang banda, nagulat si Richard ng marinig ang pagsigaw ni Maine habang may kausap sa telepono. At after napansin niya ang pagiging balisa ng dalaga! Hindi niya masyadong napansin kanina dahil he is still in deep contemplation sa nangyari ng mga nakaraan araw, na walang suot na salamin ang dalaga. Nakaladlad lang ang buhok nito at nakasimpleng office suit lang ito. She looks cute on her outfit though, parang batang pinagsuot ng nanay ng formal na damit... Napangiti siya sa naisip pero nang mapatingin siya multi sa mukha ng dalaga, maputla ito at mukhang panic mode! He can't help but come near her and inquire...
"Nerd, okay ka lang? Bakit ka sumigaw? Bawal sumigaw sa loob ng opisina ko!" Kunwaring naiinis na tanong ni Richard sa dalaga.
Upon hearing his voice, biglang humarap ang dalaga sa kanya na punong-puno ng inis at galit ang mata!
"Kasalanan mo ito e! Nakakainis!" Maine said irritably, with matching feet stomping.
"What the h ---?" Richard was about to react when Maine came near him and hit the back of his head.
"Kung sumakay ka sa plano ko, hindi tayo maiipit sa ganitong sitwasyon! Bago ka kasi e! Ngayon paano ko malulusutan to?"!!!" Inis na inis na sabi ni Maine kay Richard. Pulang-pula!
"Aba't, hoy amazonang nerd masakit yun ha?! Inaano ba kita???" Richard said, sabay himas sa ulong nasaktan!
"Kung hindi ka ba naman nuknukan ng yabang, e di sana wala tayong ganitong problema!" Maine said.
"Ano ba kasi ang ginawa ko???" Richard asked, irritable na!!!
The door opened suddenly and came Maine's assistant!
"Maine, totoo ba ito? Ikakasal na si Boss???" Her assistant is sporting a newspaper!
Napa-facepalm si Maine at naintriga siya sa hawak ng assistant nito...
"Ano ba yan???" Richard asked, scowl still on his face...
"Ay, Boss! Andiyan po pala kayo? Good morning poh!" Sabi nito sabay tagi ng newspaper sa likod nito. Mas lalo lang siyang naintriga kaya he asked for the newspaper!
"E sir, kasi po...!" The poor girl said, but Richard insisted and after stealing a glance on Maine handed the newspaper to him!
There in the newspaper, business section was written ---
THE SON OF RFJ GROUP OF COMPANIES ARE TO TIE KNOT WITH ONE OF THE MENDOZA HEIRESS.
And they also manage to get pictures of them!

Natulala si Richard ng nakita ang picture ni Maine!
"Ummm, sir! Aalis na po muna ako, masuwerte po yung girl. Bagay po kayo! Sana po minsan dalhin nyo siya dito!" Sabi ng assistant ni Maine, na lalong nagpakunot sa noo ni Richard at lalong nagpa inis kay Maine!
Napaupo si Maine dahil sa panginginig ng tuhod sa inis!
"Who???!!!" Richard asked.
"Anong who???!!!" Nanggigigil na tanong ni Maine kay Richard.
"Sino ang nagpalagay nito sa diyaryo? Ikaw ba???" Richard asked, nang-iinis...
"What the fuck ? Gusto mo sapakan na lang oh!!! Ang kapal ng mukha mo???" Nawawala na ag composure ni Maine sa inis. Pulang-pula sa galit!
Natigilan si Richard sa nakikitang galit sa mata ni Maine, parang nagsisisi tuloy siya na inasar pa niya lalo ito... Pero bakit ang cute tingnan ng pamumula ng pisngi niya! Parang gusto niya itong pisilin!
"Gumawa ka ng paraan! Umalis ka ngayon, or maghanap ka ng date! Magwalwal ka sa club! Wag ka magpakita sa kanila! Basta be invincible tonight!" Sabi ni Maine na inis na inis pa rin, may pagkumpas pa ng kamay!
"Bakit? Enlighten me!!!" Richard asked, umupo pa sa center table para mapantayan si Maine, may smirk pa!
"Dahil mamayang gabi ang announcement ng bitay mo!!!" Maine said in a loud voice!
"Anong bitay?" Richard has an idea already and surprisingly, he felt good about it...
"Mamaya na ang announcement ng mock engagement mo sa nerd na to! Kaya takbo na! Spare yourself and me of these lies! Walang damayan!" Maine said.
"Ganun na ba kasama ang maging fiancée ko?" Richard suddenly blurted out, can't help but feel hurt... Ewan niya parang nasaktan siya sa sinabi ni Maine!
Maine cannot utter any words after hearing his question! He was hurt and she can feel it, pero bakit???
