The Captain

She can't believe that someone is trying to betray her coming from her team!

"Hindi ba siya naging mabuting lider?"
"Nagkulang ba ako o sumibra ba ang higpit ko sa kanila?"
"Sobra ko ba silang na-pressure sa mga pinagagawa ko?"

Those were the questions bugging her while driving her scrambler.  She took her leave after testing two more weapons, she just lost the excitement when the betrayal came back from her mind! She was not surprised when he didn't see Richard after rounds of practice, but she just shrugged her shoulders.  She has this feeling na mangyayari ito at susuko ang isang ito! Sabagay, hindi sila pwedeng magsama kasi baka magtantiyahan sila nito at umabot sa pikunan, mabaril lang niya ang damuho!
She promised Baste to visit grave so she is going that way.  She was still in deep thought when she received a call.  She was called by her parents and it was important.  They need assistance from her regarding RFJ Group of Companies. 

Isa pa yun, she was asked to handle the whole company under the name Mendoza, since they are buying off the large stock of RFJ Group.  This is to save the good company and protect as well all the employees under them.  His parents wanted her help in saving that company since Faulkerson are family friend.  And since she don't handle any company under Mendoza, this will be her "training" ground!  Pressure on both ends for her but she manage to keep her sanity.  She is still able to separate business with her other "activities".  However, as he remember their "target" that seems to be impossible at the moment! She needs RFJ to hide her identity and she needs the military activity dahil sa kanya ng simunpaang tungkulin.  Isa pa passion niya talaga ang mga ginagawa niya outside work!  This is her world, where she can get the "real" thing! Where she can be who she really is!  The woman that loves speed and challenges, the adventurer and the soldier! Ever since she was a child, she dreamt of being a soldier and not just a soldier, a reliable soldier! Opportunity knocks during her college days!  She was invited by her Uncle to visit his office in the army, and was challenged and fascinated  by trainees.  She saw two woman, joined the army and she wanted to enroll as well.  And since she was a nephew of an arsenal expert, which she just knew during her college days, she got access to the artillery.  Lahat patago dahil ayaw niya malaman ng Tatay niya! She wanted a world of her own, away from the prying eyes of the whole Mendoza clan.  They were born to be trained as business magnate, and nothing else.  They were born to make money, expand business and work on it until their retirement!  Good thing, she got a promise from his uncle that this secret with be between her and him only, thus resulting to her underground training and her enrollment at Marion in Alabama!  Thus is where she got her Swamp Fox rank,  where she got the chance to be part of the elite.  She specializes in weaponry and got interested in joining snipers! She won several championship in target shooting competition kahit noong andito pa siya sa Pinas.  She is even aware of her "title" - the Queen -- for being the ultimate champion in target shooting!  For her it was just luck and she did practice a lot.  She also attributed her winning on her advantage of having access in the artillery department.  She was able to study guns, its proximity, it pros and cons, its features!

Anyhow, no matter how good I am at the artillery, that still didn't save me from betrayal! I really didn't see that coming! I really can't think of a reason that is enough for him to betray me! But nonetheless, I will find out the answer soon, and I swear that if his reason are unreasonable, I will make sure he will never, ever go back in the service! I will not allow another person to be put in the same shoes as mine!

When she got home, she was greeted by Mr. Richard Sr., and her Tatay!

Richard Sr. : Oh, it's been a while, since we saw each other, how are you child?

Maine : Boss, you just saw me during the engagement...

Maine smiled..

Richard Sr. : Yap, but we haven't got much time to talk, child..

Maine : So what's the agenda today, Boss?

She came near the seniors and made "mano"...

Mr. Mendoza : We were discussing something about the takeover of RFJ Group...

Maine : Please, Tatay, enlighten me...

Mr. Richard Sr. : I am asking your father here to have two CEO in the RFJ...

Maine : Why?

Mr. Mendoza : He wanted you to have a decision making privilege when it comes to company.  Gusto niya na pantay kayo ng anak niya para kahit papaano naging maayos ang galaw ng kompanya.

Maine : Bakit naman po? Richard can do the job... I have seen him in " real" action and he is sane and meticulous on the details.

Richard Sr : I believe RJ can do it, since he graduated as well in one of the prestigious school abroad, but he did turn to a 100% arrogant since her mother died.  I just want a strong foundation in the company kasi pag nagkamali siya, marami ang mawawalan ng trabaho!

Maine : And what if I falter? What if I fail?

Mr. Mendoza : Then that's the time we will help you, we will be your backbone support system, but you need first to prove your worth and this company is your chance!

Maine saw this as an advantage.  Kasi magiging busy si Richard and they will not cross paths as boss and secretary! He won't have a chance to taunt me again! I can have more time in resolving my assignment! Another advantage is, hindi na siya masyadong pagsasabihan ng damuho kasi same level kami.  We could discuss naman siguro na bahala na siya sa ibang desisyon, basta he will let me do my job my own way.  Supervise na lang ako, diskarte na lang niya... Ako na bahala sa mga malalaking account! Pag hindi siya pumayag, pasasayawin ko siya sa bala ko!
Napangiti si Maine ng malawak as she imagine him "dancing".
Napansin ng dalawa at napangiti rin.
" at ano ang ingini-ngiti mo dyan? Her Tatay asked her.

Medyo namula siya ng napansin ng dalawang matanda ang pagngiti niya!

And they continue to plan her take over to RFJ...

Meanwhile...

"Just be the real Richard Faulkerson Jr, and everything will fall into places! Accept things positively para maayos mo ang lahat ng nasira mo and from then on, makakabawi ka sa lahat ng mga taong nasaktan mo! Lahat natatakot, pero mas nakakatakot ang lagi nagtatago kasi baka dumating ang araw na lahat ng naghihintay sa paglabas mo, wala na sa tabi mo, baka katulad mo mapagod na lang din sila at sukuan ka na!"  Someone said behind him...

He turned around right away and was surprised to see Mother Superior walking towards him...

"Good evening poh, Sister!" Richard greeted him.
"So what made you come here, iho?" The nun asked him.
"I don't know po, I just drove without any direction and here I am, talking to a dead child po...!" Richard said.
"Well, you just poured your heart out into this child's tomb, and I hope kahit papaano gumaan ang pakiramdam mo, iho! At tulad ng nasabi ko sa iyo, just do whatever your heart wants.  Be the real you and everything will follow!" The Mother Superior said to him.  He felt inner peace upon hearing those words and its as if something heavy was lifted off his heart. 
"Learn to listen.  Listening means hearing well, hearing the emotions behind words and most importantly learn to forgive! Once you have done that, acceptance will follow and you will be freed...!" She continue...
Every words wrapped around him as if he was being sermon by her mother!  He opened his eyes and told the nun he will go home! He felt overwhelmed.
"Go child, take care! Your questions will be answered in time, just listen and listen with a heart! Bless you!" The nun blessed him before he turn towards his car...
