Richard on the other hand, is puzzled why Maine is acting off today! Did something happened without his awareness? It is because of the case? Meron na naman ba siyang underground mission kagabi na hindi niya alam? What makes her tick today?"
Truth be told, with these questions swimming on his head, he can't concentrate on his work. Medyo naiilang din siya dahil tinawag siya Ninong boss, e mas mataas ang ranggo nito kung tutuusin! Captain... My god, she is his Captain! And she is that "Queen".. Talking about irony! Up until now he felt embarrassed for all the unpleasant things he said to her. Those time when he belittled her and even thought he was a mistress to his father! He was also ashamed of himself for those times he planned her downfall! With her stature, he is just a speck of dust as compared to her achievements, and here he was planning something bad on her! Ngayon lang niya na-realize na hindi siya basta babae na susunod sa kanya or much worst magkakagusto sa kanya! Ang lakas din ng bilib sa sarili niya!
Upon reading his correspondence, he noticed that he has a scheduled meeting with his father and Mr. Mendoza. Bakit kaya? May nagawa ba siyang mali? Nagsumbong ba ang mga kliyente nila sa kanila? Medyo nakaramdam siya ng kaba dahil big bosses ang makakaharap niya! The meeting will be after lunch so he still have time to prepare. He wanted to some updates and overview of their ongoing and future projects. He don't want to disappoint his dad again! He has so many things he needs to say sorry for kaya ayaw na sana niyang madagdagan pa ito! He needs the help of his ever reliable secretary con Captain con fiancée, Maine to get through this. But how to approach her? Mukhang wala pa naman ito sa mood ngayon! Baka imbes na tulungan ako, mapikon ito sa akin at pakainin ako ng bala! He was in deep thought, when Maine came in, coffee at hand! He can still see the serious and formal Maine, so paano pa siya magpapa-orient?
"Ummm, Maine, may meeting ako this afternoon sa Tatay kp at sa father mo? Do you have any idea of what will it be?" Richard asked all of a sudden. He was surprised as well of his action and he braced himself for a lashing! "Ummm, wala Boss e! I don't have any idea of what is there to talk about!" Maine said.

"A, ganun ba? Ummm, pwede ko bang mahiram yung files ng mga ongoing at future project natin, at least may ideya ako sa mga ito! Kung mag tanong man sila, alam ko isasagot ko!" Richard said.
"OK, boss! No problem, it will be on your table in a minute or two. Do you have anything for me? I mean, any reports for deadline?" Maine asked. "None so far, everything is good and everything is a-ok. I will need sometimes to review these... Thank you!" Richard said. "No problem, boss!" And she ended their convoy by turning her back on him. "And uhhh, if someone looked for me, kindly tell them, I am not around...!" Richard said, and reluctantly turned his back on her and return to his office.
"Ahh, talaga ba? Sabi ni Maine sa sarili at biglang pinasukan ng kapilyahan sa utak...
They worked the rest of the morning quietly. Maine, however, was torn between her job and her responsibility. She was still in deep investigation to know the reason why "that" person betrayed her. She has been good to his family. She even help him by covering some hospital expenses he can't pay. His child has been battling cancer of the blood for almost two years already. In fact, his child was already able to act as normal at their age. However, after being well for nine months, the health of his child decline rapidly. And upon checking he was turned down by several people and will be needing a bone marrow transplant. She help him, however just like Baste, he needed to lineup in the list. Baste came in first in the list before his son. And to at least, help his child, she sometimes sponsor for the child's therapy!
She was still in deep thought when she heard her phone beeped!
"Distress call. In front of your building. Baby. Hostage. Suspect. High!"
"Shoot!" She can't help but slapped her table hard and loud! She went directly to the glass wall and checked the perimeter, and there she saw a commotion. Pinaliligiran ng pulis ang isang lalaking may hawak ng baby stroller! And the gun was pointed towards the stroller! And that makes her saw red!
Nasa malalim na konsentrasyon si Richard ng madinig niya an malakas na kalabog ng lamesa mula sa labas! Napalabas siya bigla upang tingnan ang nangyayari. Wala si Maine sa lamesa niya kaya uginala ang mata at doon niya nakita na nakasilip si Maine sa glass wall nila at pulang-pula! He came to the glass wall and was greeted by a commotion of people. He saw that Maine came back to her table and he was surprise when she took a sniper rifle and a black backpack! She then run towards the comfort room. It took her five minutes and when she emerged she is fully geared already! She is already oblivious of where she is and got her cellphone and dialed someone.

"I need their frequency! Kicks not around. Put me on to them!" Maine said, her voice means business and no one can hinder to whatever she is doing right now!
"No, you put me to them. I need clearance coming from that team, now!" And then she look around and found Richard staring at her.
"Lt., good thing you are here! I need assistance right now! This is urgent! Walang maling galaw or else a baby will perish! Do you understand?" Maine said.
"Yes, Captain!" Richard took off his suit. "I want you to go down and connect me to the leader of their operation! Do you have your badge with you?" Maine asked. "Apparently, I don't have it yet, Captain!" Richard said. "You should always be ready sa ganitong mga insidente! Paano ka makaka-react ng mabilis kung yung mga small things hindi mo ma-accomplish? O saluhin mo! Tell them I am on the area, give them my frequency as well!" Maine said, voice laced with anger! Richard, turned towards the elevator and took off right away!
Maine, then checked where she can get a good eye view for her one shot! She is busy assessing the distance when she heard someone spoke on her monitor!
"Captain, the suspect is already stressed and agitated, my men are all set... Ready when you are! Permission to go in permission granted!" She heard.
"Immobilization established. I will go in now!" Maine took her pose and turn off her monitor.. In seconds, the police was able to contain the suspect! Blood dripping from his right shoulder!
She turned back on her monitor and heard him say...
"Suspect contained. Baby is safe. Mother already on the baby's side. No casualties, nor injured! Operation cleared!"
Upon hearing it, she dropped herself to the floor! Her adrenaline rush expired and she can't help but cry in relief! She is really afraid for the baby! One wrong move and she's dead! Nagulat na lang siya ng biglang may humatak sa kanya patayo at niyakap siya!
"Ang galing mo! Sobrang galing!" Richard said to her and she can't say nothing, she was left dumbfounded!
