That Little Girl

"Hello, what's your name?" Maine immediately asked the little girl.
"My name is Athena, I have been living here for almost a year. I am four years old. How about you, Ate Ganda?" Athena asked back.
"My name is Ate Nicomaine and his name is Richard, my husband.  How are you and what brought you here, little princess?" Maine asked, wanting to fish some information to  around the building.
"Wow, you have a nice name, but I want to call you Ate Ganda because you are so pretty! You look like a living barbie doll po kasi.  I want to be your playmate para maging pretty din po ako!" Athena retorted back.
"But you are much prettier than me, little princess!" Maine told her.
"Kuya Pogi, am I really pretty? Did Ate Ganda said the truth?" Athena came towards Richard.
"Yes, you are both very pretty, little princess.  No one is much prettier because you both are the prettiest for me!" Richard said while he pinch her pert little nose.
"Wow, Mommy did you hear what they say? I am pretty just like Ate Ganda!" Athena shouted.
"Yes, you are princess.  I told you so!" Athena's mother said and smiled widely at her daughter.

"Ummm, pasensiya na kayo sa abala pero okay lang ba na iwanan ko muna siya sa inyo? Bibili lang ako ng mga kailangan as bahay?" Athena's mother asked them.
"Ipagkakatiwala po ninyo siya sa amin e bagong kakilala ninyo lang po kami?" Maine asked, her senses got alerted.
"Wala kasi ako mapag-iwanan e, medyo malayo ang pupuntahan ko Hindi ko siya pwedeng isama.
Yung nagbabantay kasi sa kanya, may importanteng nilakad e kaya wala akong bantay. Wala na kaming supplies kaya kailangan ko nang bumili ngayon!" Sabi nito. 
Maine got hooked with Athena's mother and she was kinda curious of her act.  She was somewhat pale and she looks like she is being harassed.  Well, come to think of it the minute she entered the house hindi ito mapakali.   She was like checking out something inside their unit sa sobrang likot ng mga mata nito although nakangiti siya...  Her instincts won and she came over the mother.
"Ate, ako po si Maine, nice to meet you poh... Kayo po ano po pangalan ninyo?" Maine asked her eagerly, as if she is eyeing the woman as a new found friend.
"Ummm, ako nga pala si Ruby.. And asy kid told ou earlier, she is Athena and she is three.  Nice meeting you din..!" Ate Ruby said...
"So saan po kayo mamimili? Pwede po bang sumabay kasi wala na din kaming stock ng asawa ko po e..!" Maine said, making sure na nakamasid siyang maigi dito.
"Umm, gusto mo sumabay ka na lang ituturo ko na lang sa iyo, kasi ummm, uba pa muna akong pupuntahan bago mamili.  Ibibilin ko na lang muna siya sa ibang tenant kung sasama din sa atin ang asawa mo..!" Ate Ruby said.
"Ayy, hindi na po, ako na lang po bahala sa kanya... Mahal, maiwan na ako dito, yung mga magaan muna ang pamilihin mo ha? Baka mapagod ka ng husto...!" Richard said reluctantly, when he saw Maine signalling him to stay.  Ayaw niya pero alam niya magagalit ang dalaga pag sinuway niya ito.  He sense something is wrong when he looked at her and he knows something is going on but he can't pinpoin it out as of this moment, kaya he decided to go with flow.
"Okay, mahal.  Alagaan mo mabuti ang little girl ha? Ingatan mo siya.. And you little girl, i am sure you mabait ikaw di ba? Hindi mo pahihirapan si Kuya Richard...!" Maine said to the little girl, she kneeled down para magpantay ang mga mukha nila.
"Yes po Ate Ganda.  I promise to behav para po hindi mapagod si Kuya Pogi sa akin!" Athena said.
"Promise?" Maine said.
"Promise po, Ate Ganda!" Athena said.
"Pinky swear?" Maine said, doing the pinky promise.
"Pinky swear!" Athena said, hooking jer pinky to Maine. 

Maine and Ruby is about to get out when Richard came over to Maie and kissed he cheek while whispering...

"Ingat ka mahal! Come back to me safe!"

Isang namumulang Maine ang lumaba ng pinto kasama si Ruby pagkatapos nun!

"Umm, ang sweet nyo mag-asawa, gaano na kayo katagal mag-asawa?" Ruby aaked as they went down the apartment building.

Maine alertness have piqued again and shelved the thoughts of Richard's kiss.  She needs to be vigilant right now, she can really sense something about this "mag-ina". 

Maine : Bago pa lang po, wala pang anim na buwan po..

Ruby : Kaya pala ang sweet nyo.  Bagay kayo in fairness, guwapo at maganda...

Maine : Ay, salamat poh..

Ruby : Pero ingat ka, sa guwapo ng asawa mo, baka may magtangkang agawin yan..

Maine :  Oh, well.. Alam ko pong mahal na mahal namin ng asawa ko ang isa't-isà... Hindi niya po basta magagawa yun..

Ruby : Huwag kang paka-siguro... Nga pala sa kantong yan, liliko ka na, ako dito sa kabila kasi may pupuntahan pa ako... Iiwan na kita dito... (Sabay nagmamadaling umalis)

Maine was surprised sa bilis ng pag-alis ni Ruby.  Good thing though sanay siya sa mga elusive criminals kaya she immediately scanned the  area and look for her again.  She almost missed her when she saw she bumped into someone.  Maine was puzzled when  realized she Ruby was simply being dragged towards an alley.  She walked towards their direction while scanning the area para malaman kung may kasama ito o wala.  She scanned the area and two more steps before turning to the alley, she heard gasps and the man who dragged Ate Ruby came running in front of her, not a spare glance to anyone! She saw Ate Ruby running as well as if hinahabol niya ito. 
"Ate Ruby, what is happening?" Maine said and stopped Ruby.
"Hindi ka na dapat nakialam dito! Baka madamay ka pa!" Ruby said, shouting at her...
"Pero...!" Maine was about to explain..
"Pakialamera ka, dahil sa iyo nakatakas siya, paano na kami ni Athena ngayon?" Ate Ruby said, crying out loud...

"Ano ibig mong sabihin?" Maine asked her but before she could hear Ate Ruby's response, she felt something hard on he nape and everything went black...
