The "Angel" Assassin

Everything is running smooth in the meeting.  Everyone became cooperative after hearing everything.  Hindi malaman kung gusto magpa-impress or talaga lang they are telling what their jib description is.  Meron kasing medyo pabibo pag dating sa discussion ng scope of their work.  The management remains quiet interested though kahit alam nila what some of the employees are trying to do.  They just weigh everything and take note of the information they think has a point. 

They were about to finalized the meeting, when Maine's phone rang! Maine was surprised to see that the call came from the orphanage. She answered it right away to check what is happening.  This didn't happen before kasi they always call her after office hours.
"Hello?" Maine answered the phone, while standing up to excuse herself.
"What???? Nasan kayo?" Maine suddenly shouted and before she could stop herself she muttered a lot of curses na nagpatahimik sa lahat!

"Shhhh! Shhhh! Don't cry. Magtago kayo, siguraduhin ninyo na Hindi nila kayo makikita okay? Papunta na ako diyan...!" Maine said over the phone and drop it, rage is very evident on her face! She dialled someone again and release an authoritative command that shocks everyone!

"This is Captain Mendoza, I need a back-up right now! I am going in a hostage taking case in one of the orphanage in  Road 18 Project 8, Quezon City! There are about 18 kids and 8 nuns in there! Now!" And then drop the call, she then looked at Paolo and Nico. 

"Nico, I want you to take my bike out of the parking lot in five minutes.  Meet at the lobby!" Maine said to Nico and throw her keys to him.

"Paolo come with me, help change and after make a phone call to General and tell him I need all the help I can get to save my orphanage!" Maine took off from her chair and run towards her private room for her "things".  She then went on her private bath to change and after a minute or two she then went out again. 

She took off her duffel bag, kinuha ang dalawang kalibre .45 at inilagay ang bala sa bullet proof vest na suot.  She then hook her M1 rifle and took two knives on her boots! She already had a headphones set on her head for updates! She was about to leave when her door burst open and came the patriarchs and Richard!

"Oh, gentlemen, sorry to leave you unnoticed back there but I need to go... A matter of life and death...!" She apologized at nagmamadaling tumalikod paalis.  She was then stopped by her wrist and was about to lash when she was stopped by her father's word!
"Made sure you will come back to us alive and take Richard with you!" Mr. Mendoza said.
"But -- !" Maine was about to protest when he was stopped by Richard!
"No buts, young lady! I am also part of this team and yet you didn't include me? How dare you? Kaibigan ko rin sila at kailangan nila ang lahat ng tulong para makaligtas sila!" Richard said, nagpipigil ng galit. 
"I'm sorry about that Lt.! Let's go!" Maine said nodding at the patriarchs and leave with raging Richard tailing her.

She immediately went down to the lobby, got her keys that was tossed by Nico and rode her bike, she was not even surprised when Richard hopped in at her back, she just reached on her side holster and give him her .45 calibre!

"You will take guard on the perimeter, you will not go in! I will do it... Bantay KA lang sa labas in case wala pa yung nga tinawagan Kong back-up! Patumbahin mo ang mga lalabas ng gate!" Maine said with her controlled voice!
"No way! I have been part of the tactical team and you know that you need a moving shadow as well, para makapagconcentrate KA on taking them one by one! Isa pa, alam nating dalawa na pwede nilang gawin human shield ang mga hostage... Kaya I will be your moving shadow! I will not stand there and wait for someone to get killed.  Whether you like it or not, dalawa lang tayo ngayong magkakampi dahil wala pa sila!" Galit na sabi ni Richard sa dalaga!

Hindi na kumibo ang dalaga at nagpatuloy na lang sa pagmamaneho at dahil sa gaping at bilis ng dalaga sa pagmamaneho, wala pang sampung minuto narating na nila ang kalsadang malapit aa ampunan.  Itinigil ng dalaga ang motorbike niya nilang metro ang layo sa ampunan.  Inayos ang sarili. 

"Nakikita mo ba ang bahay sa gilid ng ampunan? Aakyat ako sa bubong nun para makita ko ang sitwasyon sa loob at mapag-aralan.  Ikaw Lt, pumunta KA sa may bandang unahan para salubungin mo ang mga back-up natin!" Maine is instructing Richard, while taking off her vest and taking her rifle's ammo. 
"What are you doing?" Richard asked, surprised.
"Taking off my vest... Isuot mo ito, andito ang mga extra ammo ng calibre .45... Mabigat ito sa pag-akyat ko!" Maine said.
"But -- !" Richard was about to protest but was stopped by Mendoza's voice.

"Please wag mo nang dagdagan ang alalahanin ko.  I need to make sure everyone's alive and promise me, you will live para sa akin!" And off she goes without waiting for his response.

He was left surprised by her words..

"You need to live para sa akin"

And upon realizing what she said, sheer determination was on his face.

"We will live through this and you will never be alone anymore!" He said nang mahabol ang dalaga na paakyat na sana ng bakod.  Nagulat ang dalaga ng maramdaman ang dampi ng halik sa kanya ng noo bago tumakbo ang binata palayo. Napangiti na lang ang dalaga, sabay akyat ng bakod para sa isa sa mga pinakamahalagang mission ng buhay niya!
