She's My What???!!

Last night was a success.  The "engagement" was believe to be true.  Everyone gave their congratulations to the newly engage couple.  They were able to face the guests after an hour power nap of Maine.  He just sat there and guard the lady as he was promised. 

He was kinda surprised because it was again another milestone for him.  Never had he been in a place whereas he don't feel bored.  In fact, he cannot stay in one place without doing nothing.  He either drinks or flirt, and this is the first time again that he wanted this kind of peace.  This kind of solemnity.  It was like reconnecting again to something that made him at ease.  And its just be looking at this lady in front of him.  This nerd, this beautiful nerd!

After the party, the Mendozas don't want hold off the Faulkersons for long coz Bulacan is so far from there house.  They want them safe. 

Richard, is now at the office, however, Maine is still earlier than him, as usual, although he was not surprise at all.  Sabah na siya! He was about to greet him when he saw her frown while looking at her phone! He wonder who is it... Baka masira ang araw nito dahil dun...

"Ummm, Maine good morning!" Richard greeted her, tinatantiya ang mood ni Maine.

"Good morning, boss!" Maine greeted her casually.

"Ummm, coffee?" Maine asked.
"Kung okay lang!" Richard said.
"OKs! No prob!" Maine said and went to the office kitchenette, to do his coffee.. After handing him his coffee, she briefed him of his appointments for the whole day and other tasks that needs his signatures.  Konti lang trabaho nila ngayon kasi ayaw niya na Monday pa lang stressed na, she always wanted an easy Monday in preparation for the pressure on the other day of week. 

They work as is.  Correspondence was discussed professionally and there is this air of truce in the air that made them work symbiotically.  They were able to work professionally, without unnecessary banters and quarrels.  They even discussed a new concept for the new project due next week! Talking about them being productive together for the first time.

At exactly five in the afternoon, Maine immediately took her leave after telling her boss that she needs rest kasi napuyat siya kagabi.  Richard, asked if she is okay and earned a thumbs up from her before going out of their office. After a few minutes, he also went out from his office.  He just need to finish some paper works for tomorrow.  He has an appointment and this appointment is important.  He needs to discuss something to his ninong about the mission.  He needs to dig deep on that case since he discovered that Maine is part of that underground cases.  Her connection to it may lead him to the success of his comeback mission!

He went to the HQ earlier that the scheduled time.  He wanted to do practice shooting, coz its been a while since he last handled guns.  He wanted to re-orient himself to the new guns and weaponry in the service.

He was again greeted by some of his colleagues and went directly to the office of his ninong!

"Sir, Richard here reporting for duty, Sir!" Richard greeted his Ninong promptly.

"Carry on! Ang aga mo a, excited sa bagong mission?" His Ninong asked.

"Yes, Sir! Isa pa gusto ko muna mag-try sa shooting range if I still can carry a perfect shot... Its been a while na rin po e, kaya I want to check kung ano na ang mga bago laruan!" Richard said.

"Ah, ganun b? O sige na, we are still waiting for others kaya go ka muna, practice ka, bata! Baka hindi mo kayanin ang mga ka-buddy mo sa mission na ito!" His ninong said.

Medyo na-off siya dun pero tama naman ang ninong niya, kulang talaga siya sa praktis. 
He went immediately sa shooting range para magpraktis.    Meron na din nagpapraktis and good thing he was greeted by his arsenal friend. 

"Buddy! Balik loob ka na? Ang tagal ng hibernation mo ah!" His friend greeted him.

"Oo nga e, pero good thing nakabalik pa din... Ano bago?" Richard asked his friend.

"New weapons mga semi-automatic at automatic guns and weapons.  I don't know if you did research during your hibernation but we have lots to brag about here in the service now!" His friend explained.

"Mukhang kailangan ko na talagang mag-aral ulit, marami na din akong na-miss for the whole year, a!" Richard said, getting himself ready.  Isinuot na ang mga gamit for target shooting and start his lesson.  His arsenal friend taught him everything he needs to know about the new weaponry and even have him tried it every now and then.  He was busy on his lesson when he overheard two colleagues talking.

"Uyyy, balita ko nandiyan si Queen!" Sabi ng isang pulis.
"O, talaga ba? Saan department nag-report?" Sabi naman nung isa...
"Hindi malinaw e, basta narinig ko lang mag praktis siya mamaya dito..." Sabi ng unang pulis.
"Ganun ba --?" Sabi ng isang pulis at hindi na niya narinig ang sinabi dahil lumakad na ito palayo.
"Buddy, sino yung queen?" Tanong ni Richard sa kaibigan, pero napansin niya na parang naging excited ito.
"Hindi mo natatandaan? Remember yung nakita mo dati yung babaeng tinanghal na overall champion sa lahat ng event ng target shooting? Siya yung Queen at nandito daw siya!" His friend said excitedly.
"Talaga, tol? Makikita ko na siya?" Richard said excitedly as well.  He has been wishing for this, to meet his inspiration that drives him to join military.
"Saan department kaya siya nag-report?" Curious na tanong ng ka-buddy niya!
Napapalo sa noo si Richard ng maalala ang meeting na pinatawag ng Ninong niya. 
"Shit, buddy! Alis na muna ako, may meeting ako kay General, in 10 minutes! Balik na lang ako!" Richard said, already running towards his Ninong's office...
He only have two minutes when he reached his Ninong's office.  He summoned himself and opened the door...
"Sir, Faulkerson here! Reporting for duty, Sir!" Richard greeted his Ninong right away.
"Carry on! And Lt. Faulkerson, meet Captain Nicomaine Dei Mendoza!!!

"Say what now???!!!" And he turned his back meeting the eyes of Captain Mendoza!
