Maine was surprised to see her phone rang.  She didn't expect any call except its important.  Her dad knows she is in the hospital and she knows na when someone is sick especially confined in a hospital will not be bothered unless it is really a major emergency.  She saw that the call came from her dad and she answers it immediately thinking of how she  will let her dad believe she is still confined at the hospital.  She can't have the nuns nor the children told a lie for her sake.  Paolo asked her earlier if he could report to his office to check kung on time ba yung mga projects ng boutique niya.  She allowed him kasi kailangan ding mag worm ng beshie niya.  And she made sure na clear lahat sa paligid before letting him drive to his office. 

She answered the phone immediately since ayaw ng Tatay niya na nagtatagal sa phone. 

"Tay, good morning poh!" Maine said.
"Napadaan na ba diyan si Richard?" Mr. Mendoza asked.
"Huh? Alam ko po papasok ng maaga yun, hindi po ba nagreport?"
(Naku, Faulkerson ka, patay ka talaga sa akin pag nakita kita! She said inwardly)
"Truth is nanggaling na siya dito and we were impressed sa proposal niya apparently I saw him running out of his father's office.  Hus dad wanted me to call you first to check kung nagkita or nagpunta ba diyan sa hospital?" Mr. Mendoza asked.
"No, Tatay.  Wala po siya dito...
Ummm, ganito na lang po, tatawagan ko po si Mr. Faulkerson Sr para po at least malaman ko kung nagpaalam siya sa pag-alis niya.  And if not I will reprimand him po for work abandonment, Tatay!" Maine said, wanting to know the story.  Malamang nag-away na naman ang mag-ama.  Of all times naman talaga ohhh...

Maine dialed her Boss dad's number.  She was immediately answered as well...

"Nan diyan ba ang anak ko?" He asked right away.
"Wala po dito, may I asked sir if nag-away na naman po kayo ulit?" Maine asked.
"Hindi, iha! But he listened... He actually listened.  Kaya lang malamang he think the worst kaya alam ko nasasaktan siya ngayon!" And he proceeded to give her some details for her to understand where Richard is coming from.  Nakaramdam siya ng awa sa binata at parang may kirot din siyang naramdaman para sa pinagdadaanan nito.  She then told him that she will do what she can do if Richard happens to drop off the "hospital".  She asked as well about the client and she was greatly impressed by Richard upon hearing his plan from his dad.  She just told them to follow Richard's proposal since it sound fair to both parties.  Mr. Faulkerson, Sr thank her and made her promise that if Richard will seek her, she will tell them to know if he is safe.  She promised and drop the call.  She send a message to his dad that she already know the reason and asked her father to take place for this day.  She told him that there was an important reason why Richard took off and his father believe her.  She then hang up the phone just in time to hear a knock on the gate.

She then run immediately towards the gate, the children were already taking their lessons, baka makaistorbo pa sa mga ito ang ingay.  When she opened the door she spoke first and was not surprised when he broke down.  She then checked the perimeter subconsciously, before pulling him inside. 

"Come, let me hear you...!" Maine said as he guided the crying Richard inside.

She led him at the back of the house where a small garden and a bench.  She led him at the bench and sat him down.  Hinayaan niya muna itong umiyak sa balikat niya.  She just let everything out, until he himself stopped from crying..  Only when she is really sure that he is calm, she asked...

"Want to rest for awhile?"
"Could I?"
"Then do.  Rest. Nakakapagod no?"
"Oo."
"Pahinga ka na. Tapos na ang pag takbo.  Pagtanggap naman... Close your eyes, think of nothing. Let your heart and mind rest!" Maine said and she let him put his head on her shoulders.  She got her phone from her pocket, trinkle it and put a half of the headset on Richard's ear.  The song then played and they let themselves into the song.

Maine let Richard sleep.  She just kept on thinking how this guy can be so vulnerable this time.  Of how much pain he kept inside and yet were able to act as if he didn't feel anything at all.  As if the world is just a big playground for him.  She suddenly felt relieved that her family are still complete and even though they have indifferences they are still in touch.  They can still call and rely to each other if there is a need.  She was wondering how much pain he endured that resulted of him being an asshole.  Of why did he even become one? Of why he even choose to become one?  Too many questions but still only him can answer.  And if he will let her listen to his pain.

Well, she hope so... She hope so...
