Heartbreak for Christmas-Isaac Lahey

Isaac walks into your house unannounced which is normal for him since he is your best friend. Plus it is Christmas Eve and he thought you would be upstairs watching your favorite Christmas movie like you always do. He uses his supernatural hearing to see if you're home and you are because Isaac can hear your heartbeat

"Hey, you mind me joining your Christmas movie marathon?" asks Isaac with a smile on his face which disappears once he sees you

You are surrounded by tissues, wrapped in a blanket, and watching some sad movie that you only watch when something is wrong.

"What happened?" asks Isaac as he sits down next to you

"B-Brad broke up with me." You answer as tears fall down your face

Brad and you were boyfriend and girlfriend for almost two years. Isaac never liked him. Maybe that was due to his unspoken feelings for you or maybe it was because Brad was a total tool. You feel for Brad and you thought he loved you too but obviously, you were wrong.

"I'm going to kill him." grumbles an angry Isaac, who can't believe he broke up with you on Christmas Eve

More tears fall as you think of Brad and Isaac notices.

"Don't cry, that jackass isn't worth crying over." says Isaac as he pulls you into a hug

You cling to Isaac as tears silently fall down your face while Isaac rubs soothing circles on your back.

"You want me to kill him? Because I can kill him." says Isaac a few minutes later

You chuckle at his question.

"No." You say

"You want to bake some cookies?" suggests Isaac trying to cheer you up

You smile at the thought.

"Sure." You say moving off of Isaac

You quickly help Isaac up and then you both race downstairs.

An hour later, you sit next to Isaac watching your favorite Christmas movie as you two eat some delicious Christmas cookies.

"Thanks Isaac for cheering me up, you're a great friend." You say as you lean your head on his shoulder

A little bit of disappointed washes over Isaac st the word friend since he has hoped to be more with you.

That was a year ago, you've hooked up with a few guys here and there but haven't been with someone serious. Isaac has done the same and every day he hopes to ask you out but he always chickens out.

You bounce up to him the last day before Christmas break starts.

"You coming to the Christmas party tonight that Lydia is hosting?" You ask as you link arms with him

"Yeah, you?" says Isaac

"Of course, I can't wait." You say smiling which in return makes Isaac smile

You two continue down the hall talking about random things when Brad walks back. He looks you up and down then send you a wink. You roll your eyes at him while Isaac glares at him.

"Anyways......is there anyone you want to be under the mistletoe with?" You ask as you turn back to Isaac with a smile on your face
