You stand out on your balcony alone letting a sad sigh slip through your lips as you stare at your glass of wine.
You weren't in the mood for the holidays. Sure, you were invited to a holiday party that the Salvatore's are throwing but you couldn't stand to go. Mainly because you weren't up to see all the couples there. Maybe also because it is a reminder of how single you are or maybe it's because you are missing a certain someone and that would remind you of him. Elijah Mikaelson, the original vampire you fell for. Sadly he left Mystic Falls and went to New Orleans leaving you behind for his family. You could have gone with him, but you knew how dangerous New Orleans, even more than Mystic Falls is, so you didn't go.

You head snaps up when you hear a twig snap.
"Who's there?" You ask a little bit worriedly
A figure comes out of the shadows and you immediately realize it's the one and only Elijah Mikaelson.
"Elijah?" You say confused as you look at him
Then you hear a swoosh and then suddenly he appears next to you.
"Hi, love." says Elijah trying to mask his nerves
He wasn't sure how you are going to react to him being here right now.
"What....what are you doing here?" You ask confused, your eyebrows scrunching up
"I...I've come back. I want to be with you, my love. I don't want to be apart anymore." answers Elijah taking a step towards you, softly taking one of your hands in his
"You know, I can't go with you to New Orleans." You say sighing
"I know, that's why I plan to stay here with you in Mystic Falls." says Elijah
"What?" You say shocked, you never expected this, you thought there was no chance for the two of you to be together because you knew Elijah would never leave his family
"I want to stay here with you because I love you." says Elijah
"I love you too." You say softly
Elijah smiles before he pulls you into a soft kiss.
I guess Christmas miracles do happen.
