Rook Capelletty sits backstage in his dressing room thinking about La'Kandis. La'Kandis is Machine Gun Kelly's best friend, who he brought on tour with him. Rook has developed a huge crush on the beautiful dark-haired girl and he thinks she is an absolutely amazing girl. Rook is normally pretty okay with just asking girls out. He doesn't normally even get a little nervous. The reason he hasn't asked La'Kandis out yet is because of MGK.

La'Kandis and Kelly are friends but pretty much everyone thinks the two of them have something more going on. People ship the crap out of them and some fans even run fan accounts on the two of them. Posting edited photos of them kissing and doing on dates. Plus La'Kandis and MGK seem like a couple at times. Both La'Kandis and MGK deny that they have a romantic involvement, but Rook still isn't sure if there are feelings there.

Rook lets out a sigh as he receives another text from one of his friends telling him to just man up and ask you out.

I'm going to do it. Thinks Rook standing up who was going crazy from trying to decide if he should ask you out

Making up his mind that he is going to take the chance he waltzes out of his dressing room.

La'Kandis smiles as she waits hidden in the shadows waiting for MGK to pass by so she can hopefully scare him.

This is going to be great. Thinks La'Kandis as she peeks out to see if Kelly is coming and luckily he is

He is too busy on his phone to notice La'Kandis. A smile forms on La'Kandis's face before she goes back to her original position.

La'Kandis not so patiently waits for Kelly to pass by and once he goes, she jumps onto his back.

"Boo!" La'Kandis yells as she pranks

MGK jumps startled as his phone falls out his hands. La'Kandis hops down as Kelly turns around to glare at you.

"Geez, La'. I think I almost had a heart attack. I thought you were a fan who had gotten backstage." says MGK as La'Kandis loudly laughs

"You-your reaction was hilarious." La'Kandis gets out through her laughing

"It wasn't funny." says an annoyed Kelly

"Yes, it was. I wish I would have gotten that on camera." says La'Kandis causing Kelly to glare at her

"Oh, stop your glaring you know, you love me." La'Kandis says as she wraps her arms around Kelly causing him to laugh as he wraps his arms around her

"Well you are my best friend." says Kelly as he hugs La'Kandis quite tightly

Rook Capelletty rounds the corner to where, according to an intern, La'Kandis.

Okay, you can do this. Thinks Rook with closed eyes as he lets out a breath

He opens his eyes and his heart drops at the sight in front of him.

There are La'Kandis and Kelly hugging each other tightly. They look exactly like a couple. La'Kandis and Kelly pull apart both laughing at something. What happens next causes a lump to form in Kelly's throat. Kelly places a quick peck on La'Kandis's cheek before he sprints off.

Well, I guess they finally confirmed everyone's suspicions. Thinks Rook as he heads back to his dressing room

After the concert finished everyone decided to go out to eat. Kelly and La'Kandis both had noticed that Rook seemed quite tense but only one of them decided to say something.

"You okay, man?" asks Kelly as he moves his hand to rest on Rook's shoulder as the group heads into the restaurant

"Yeah, I'm fine." says Rook shaking Kelly's hand off of his shoulder before he walks away from him

Definitely not okay. Thinks Kelly with a sigh

La'Kandis sits next to MGK at dinner with Rook across from them. Everyone is involved in their own conversation except for Rook, who is just on his cell phone.

"What is going on with Rook?" La'Kandis whispers to Kelly

"I don't have a clue. I asked him earlier but he shrugged me off." replies Kelly

La'Kandis nods and gives Rook a concerned look before she is pulled into another conversation.

Rook sits on his hotel bed replying to fan's comments when someone knocks on his hotel room door.

Who could that be? Thinks Rook as he stands up

He opens the door to reveal La'Kandis standing there.

"Oh, hey." says Rook suddenly feeling quite awkward

"Hey, can I come in?" asks La'Kandis

"Yeah, sure, come in." answers Rook moving to let the dark-haired girl in

"So what's up?" questions Rook curiously knowing there had to be a reason why La'Kandis decided to visit him

"I just came by to see if you are okay." La'Kandis answers looking at the boy with worry in her eyes

"Yeah, yeah, I am fine, why do you ask?" questions Rook, who thought he actually did a pretty good job at hiding his hurt from everyone

"You barely talked at dinner and you were on your phone the whole time." explains La'Kandis

"It's nothing." says Rook as he tries to avoid La'Kandis's eyes

"If it's nothing then why can't you just tell me?" questions La'Kandis with a raised brow causing Rook to sigh knowing she wouldn't leave him alone until he told her what's wrong

"I-It's not a big deal, La'Kandis. I'll be fine." says Rook forcing a small smile on his face as he sits down on the end of his hotel bed

"Rook, just tell me." says La'Kandis with her serious face

"I'm..I'm jealous, okay?" bursts out Rook, his feelings getting the best of him

"Jealous? Jealous of what?" questions La'Kandis

"Of you and Kelly being together." answers Rook

Well, there is no doing back now. Thinks Rook

"Kelly and I aren't together. We are just friends." La'Kandis says giving him a confused look

Why would he think we are together? Thinks La'Kandis

"So....the two of you aren't together?" questions a very confused Rook

"No." confirms La'Kandis

"Oh." says an embarrassed Rook as a blush now covers his cheeks

"But why were you jealous when you thought Kelly and I were together?" asks La'Kandis confused

"I like you Y/N. I like you a lot." answers Rook

"You....you like me?" questions La'Kandis shocked and Rook nods his eyes trained on La'Kandis

"I like you too." La'Kandis admits as a light blush now covers her cheeks

"Then how about we go on a date Friday?" asks Rook inching closer to La'Kandis

"Sounds great to me." La'Kandis answers with a grin also inching a bit closer to Rook

Rook reaches his hand up to caress La'Kandis's cheek before he softly crashes his lips on to La'Kandis's.

I guess I had nothing to worry about after all. thinks Rook as he smiles into the kiss

I hope the next half of Riverdale is better. I felt this first half was okay but it wasn't as good as the first season.
