(Oona x Otis)
Oona had had crushes on people before. When she was in kindergarten, she thought a boy with black hair was the cutest, but no one had affected her quite as strongly as another boy, only this one had dark blonde hair. From the moment she saw him, she had played off that she was naturally a clumsy person. The truth was, he was the reason why she was so awkward. She regretted all of the mistakes she made from these emotions, especially when she threw Oscar a time machine, that transported them to a different time in the future. Even though they had gotten through that, she couldn't rid herself of the guilt, that she couldn't do an even better job than what Oscar praised her for. All of this time her heart was growing more affection for the special boy, but it was no secret that Olympia also had a crush on him. She had even told her once, since Oona was supposed to be one of her best friends at the squad. That made Oona determined to hide her crush even more, but the culprit, Otis made it nearly impossible! He held her hand to help her out of the long shoot that led them into the cave, when they were trying to save the world. Not to mention when she traded faces with Olympia, so that Olympia could sneak off to track down a villain that gave her a bad rating, to find out the real reason, why. Every time Otis looked at her with that skepticism of her acting odd in that situation, her heart beat funny. It was like a mix matched patterns of thud, but he was so blind to it all, everyone was. Then there was the most recent time, when he was helping her to study for her science exam to get her license. When she rushed off to hide, he had held her hand as he helped her out of the box she was in. He was so blind to the sparks coursing through her, and made it worse when he danced so skillfully, that she felt as though her heart would burst with the most painful feeling of love in the entire world. Now it was just another day at the squad, and Oona had been working on the voice-inator all morning. It had a glitch, where instead of it giving you a Scottish, male accent, it would make you mute instead. She was still messing with it, when Olympia suddenly showed up.
"Hey, my good friend, Oona," Olympia greeted happily.
"Hi, Olympia," Oona greeted simply, since she was so caught up in her gadget.
"I think that I should tell Otis how I feel today," Olympia admitted out of the blue.
"What," exclaimed Oona by mistake, her screwdriver clattering onto the counter.
"What? Do you think that I shouldn't? Did you found out he doesn't like me, or something? Oh no, what if hates me? What if all this time he actually hates me...," Olympia began to ramble.
Oona sighed as she shut her eyes for a moment, intervening, "Trust me, he does not hate you. If anything, I bet it's just the opposite."
"Really," Olympia wondered hopefully, her brown eyes shining bright.
Oona masked how much she was breaking inside, and how she could lie to her closest friend.
"Really," Oona confirmed.
"Then I'm definitely going to go tell him. Look! There he is now," exclaimed Olympia, already bounding over to Otis.
He had just walked up to his desk, his nose buried in papers that were inside of his official, Odd Squad binder. All of a sudden Oona's eyes were opened, and she felt that she couldn't let this happen. Just her luck though, even when Otis barely glanced in her direction not meaning too, Oona caught the front of her shoe onto the counter. Everything happened so fast, as she slapped her hand down to keep her face from hitting the surface, but instead it had pushed the one button on the voice-inator that she had been trying to repair. She was zapped, and speechless, literally. She scrambled to her feet, jogging up to Otis and Olympia, before it was too late...
