(Oona x Otis)
It appeared to be a normal day at Odd Squad, except for one, tiny detail. The lab was quiet. Too quiet. Normally there was a girl scientist constantly working away on gadgets, or dropping them by mistake. The silence seemed to linger as a couple finally came into view, the dark haired brunette grasping the hand of a handsome, blonde boy.
"I think the coast is clear," the boy stated seriously. He situated his arms behind his back, which was the signature of none other than Agent Otis.
"Are you sure? I mean, they've been after us all day..." Oona glanced around herself nervously, feeling as though the cold, darkened eyes were still staring at them.
"Well, they have to give up sometime, right," he hesitantly asked.
"Think again," Oona spoke, ducking (Didn't mean to do that. XD ) behind a counter as the duo popped up in the distance.
"What should we do," Otis wondered, his ideas beginning to wear thin.
"I have an idea," Oona stated, gazing into space with a faint smile.
"Yeah? What is it," he questioned, hesitation laced into his voice.
"Oh, sorry, it's that we hide."
"Hide?" He found himself echoing her words, since he had no clue where they would go.
"Yes, I think I know just the place," Oona positively admitted, leading him to a doorway beyond a clear, plastic shield behind one of the counters.
"You stand with your hand on my waistline
It's a scene and we're out here in plain sight
I can hear them whisper as we pass by
It's a bad sign, bad sign
Something happens when everybody finds out
See the vultures circling dark clouds
Love's a fragile little flame
It could burn out, it could burn out
'Cause they got the cages, they got the boxes
And guns
They are the hunters, we are the foxes
And we run
Baby, I know places we won't be found
And they'll be chasing their tails trying to track us down
'Cause I, I know places we can hide
I know places, I know places"
As soon as Otis and Oona escaped, they realized that they were at the bottom of a snowy hill, the wind whipping around them.
"You had to choose here," Otis wondered, sort of touching his arms, but trying not to let on how cold he was.
"Hey, it's the best I could think of," Oona defended, causing him to jerk his head back slightly from how loud she was.
"Let's take cover somewhere," he suggested, them weaving through a few, towering trees.
"I can't believe this. Why are the X's after you, and why are they after me?" Oona just couldn't crack the puzzle that she had been avoiding to discuss.
"They think that I've released a few villains, and I think they think that I'm working with you, since you make gadgets and everything," Otis clarified.
