"Why is it so empty here?" I said looking around the cafeteria. There was barley anybody here.
"Some kids are still out and others are prolly sleeping in." Dani responded.
"Hey Kila. Someone's callin you." Kat nodded towards Gazzy.
He was looking in through the cafeteria door. He had a cut on his cheek and his eye was swollen.
"Kilani come." He mouthed.
"Imma go talk to him." I whispered to Dani and Kat. "Distract the them." I nodded to Jah, Ski and Billie. They all gave me a speech saying how I should stay away from Gazzy cause he'll just try something else.
I genuinely feel like he wants to apologize so I got up.
"Where you going ma?" Jah asked.
"I'm just going to the restroom." He nodded and went back to his conversation.
I pretended to walk into the girls restroom since there was one in the cafeteria. Once I thought nobody was looking, I walked out of the cafeteria towards Gazzy.
"I'm so sorry. I know what I did to you will never be forgiven. I was doing some hard drug and to be honest that isn't an excuse either. I wasn't in the right state of mind. I don't know what else to say please forgive me." He begged.
I feel terrible.
"Listen. What you did isn't something acceptable and you know that because you're owning up to your mistake. I understand that you were under the influence of something. I forgive you. You've already been tortured." I hugged him and he hugged me back.
"Thank you so much."
"It's nothing Gazz. Just don't do that drug anymore. It's not helping you in any way." I said pulling away.
"I promise. I gotta go. Again, thank you." He walked away.
I walked back into the cafeteria. Everybody gave me sympathetic looks. Everybody except Jahseh. He kinda had a mad face.
I sat back in my seat next to Jahseh with Dani and Kat in front of me.
"He got up." Dani mouthed at me.
Oh my god. I told these women to distract him.
"Ja-"
"If you were ever gonna cheat on me, I didn't think it'd be with the guy that tried to rape you. You must be fucked up in yo' head." He said laughing as if what he said was funny.
"Who said I was cheating on you bruh?" I started getting defensive. How is he gonna accuse me of doing this shit. He's already thinking I'm unfaithful.
"I fucking saw you hugging Gazzy bruh. Don't lie to me."
"Yes. I hugged him. I'm not lying to you about that. Listen to my words. I. HUGGED. HIM. He was apologizing and I forgave him. I gave him a hug. I didn't FUCK HIM!" He narrowed his eyes at me.
He just stayed silent.
"Oh you mad now?"
No response
"So you not gonna talk to me now?"
He ignored me.
I scoffed, "I'm going to my room." I grabbed my shit and left.
I don't have time for this. I pushed the cafeteria door open.
"Fucking bitch." I mumbled under my breath.
"You know talkin to yourself makes you look crazy right?" I lifted my gaze. That voice. I've heard it before..
