"J-Jah. I'm getting out." I said slipping on my shoes.
"Getting out of what?" He sat up and rubbed his eyes.
"Of here. Jah I'm leaving."
"W-Wait. Y-You're leaving me?" He quickly stood up and got dressed.
"I'm not leaving you! We're still together, my three months are up." I reassured him.
"But where are you gonna stay? We'll stay in contact, right?"
"I'll be with Trippie. I promise I'll call you." I hugged him tightly.
He hugged me back, "Be safe, Kilani, please."
"I will. Billie and I will be just a couple blocks away." And I wasn't lying. Trippie lived surprisingly close.
"Let's go." The woman from before came back.
I followed her out. While we were walking through the school hall towards the main office, I saw Stokeley and Kat talking with Nick and Gazzy.
"GUYS!" I shouted.
"Woah. What's wrong?" Ski asked getting up and walking towards me. "Jahseh?"
"He's in my room. Y'all needa go find him. Billie and I are getting out. Right now."
"Oh shit." Kat gasped. Ski showed me a worried look and darted off.
Everybody got up and hugged me.
"Be safe out there mama." Kat said. "Give Billie our goodbyes."
I nodded and caught up to the woman. She led me into the office, where I saw Billie barley hanging up the phone.
"So what he say?" I whispered to her.
"Trippie's gonna send a friend of his. His name is Marius, or something."
"And how old is this guy?"
"Twenty-one. He said they was already hanging out a his house, so he won't take long."
I sighed. "I didn't wanna leave. Not yet."
"You just don't wanna leave Jahseh. He'll be fine. Relax." She wrapped her arm around my shoulders.
"It's weird. You know, we've been in here for 3 months and we've gotten to used to everyone around us. It's scary how we can just leave like nothing happened."
"Everything went by so fast. What even is today?"
"A Thursday in April."
"Wait...do we have to go back to school?" She whispered furrowing her eyebrows.
"Well I don't think so. Momma told me she didn't want me, remember?"
"And my parents don't care bout me so I guess we don't have to go."
