When was the last time I wrote smut? I legit can't remember.
"Okay. Kat if there is anything you need, call us, okay?" I said as she picked up Jamal from his car seat.
She glared at Jahseh the whole time. "Yea.. Okay."
"Kat. Stop." I whispered.
"Jahseh, you better treat her good." She told him, still glaring.
"Okay bye Kat." I said through gritted teeth. I started the car and pulled off.
"What's wrong with her?" He asked suspiciously.
"Ion know, she just trippin'." I mumbled
****
"Close yo' eyes!" I giggled.
"Is you trynna kidnap me or somethin'?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Jah close your eyes!" I stopped at the red light.
"Okay okay." He chuckled.
I made my way to MakeOutHill and parked in the usually empty parking lot. This place is practically abandoned.
"Okay c'mon." I popped the trunk and took out a blanket and a basket.
"A picnic?" He asked.
"That's not all, but that's for later." I smirked.
He skipped along behind me. I laid the blanket onto the ground in front of the tree.
Kat had left a box here with cushions. She got the memo. She knew what was about to go down. I placed the cushions on the ground and I laid on one side.
He came and sat next to me.
"I forgot all about this place." He said looking around, admiring everything.
"I almost did too, but this place became more special." I mumbled.
"How come?"
"A couple blocks down, there's a cemetery." I admitted looking into the distance.
He tilted his head in response.
"That's where my mom is buried."
"Can you tell me about your mom? You don't talk about her." He asked.
I smiled thinking about her. "My mom was the best. She's always tried to have money to take me out and buy me things when she didn't have to. She tried to spoil me when she could. I was very young but even I understand the struggle she went through. I didn't have a dad growing up. He left before I was born. My mom worked 2 jobs."
Jah listened to me talk.
"I didn't really spend much time with her, the only time I got was the weekends, but other than that, she was gone from 4 in the morning til' 11 at night. One day it was one job, the other day was another. I practically lived with my grandma half of the time since she took care of me when my mom wasn't home." I laughed, remembering something.
"I remember I would steal those tips my mom always left for waiters when we went out to eat, so I could save up money and hitch up a ride in the bus to my moms work everyday after school." I added.
"Wow. You was a lil badass huh?" He chuckled along with me.
"I'd show up to the store and just sit behind the counter next to her. I'm thinking she just never remembered to ask me where I got the money from." I shrugged pulling out 2 bottles of Corona.
He smirked at me.
****
"Wait Wait Wait backtrack it!" I laughed. "You're saying that a girl-"
