I could feel Jamal's little hand resting on my cheek and a weight on my chest. I already knew.
I opened my eyes and saw Jahseh's head on my chest. I turned my head and Jamal was laying right next to my head.
I love these boys so much. I can't imagine life without them.
I pulled Jamal closer with my hand and I played with Jahseh's dreads with my other. I know he finds that soothing. God knows, we need each other right now.
He hummed lowly, feeling my hand. "Morning." He said in his morning raspy voice.
"Morning." I mumbled back. "You okay?"
"No. Are you?"
"No."
"Let's try to make this day better than yesterday." He got off my chest.
"I just wanna sleep today off." I mumbled closing my eyes again.
He mumbled something.
"Mkay." I said not really paying attention and reaching for my phone.
"Move more to the middle of the bed or y'all go'n fall off." He laughed walking out.
I quickly texted Jocelyn to tell her good morning and that me and Jah are good now. Once I did that, I shut my phone off.
I laid Jamal on my chest and covered both of us with the big poofy ass blanket Jahseh has in his room.

"Daaa!" Jamal babbled pulling on my hair.
"Boy stop pulling my hair.." I swatted his hand away gently.
"Mama!"
"Boy." I mumbled turning around.
He tried standing up on the bed and started bouncing on it. "Maaamaa!" He squealed.
"Jamal Dwayne sit the hell down."
He jumped on my back. "Mama food!"
"JAAHHSEEHHH!" I called out.
"Yea?!" He responded from downstairs.
"Come get your child! Jamal go hug your daddy." I mumbled.
"Dada!" He jumped off the bed landing on a pillow like 3 feet away on the floor.
I sprung up. "What the fuck?" I climbed to the edge and watched him get back up and stumble out of the room. "Okay then."
I got up and stretched out. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I'll just take a shower later today.
I quickly caught up to Jamal and carried him on my waist. "How the hell you leap yo' ass onto the pillow and get back up. You just Mr. Macho man today huh?" I laughed.
