"Do you realize how big of a bomb you just dropped?" I leaned my hand on the wall.

I might just faint right now.

"Some much things have happened..and I don't think I can do this shit no more." I started hyperventilating.

"Sit down. Kilani, you look pale."

"No, no, no. You needa explain what's happening. My father is in jail for murdering my mother and I know nothing about it! That shit isn't fair! I'm so fucking confused."

Billie came down the stairs with a now fully awake Jamal in her arms. "What's happening?"

My grandma shook her head. "Kilani, please sit down. Breathe slowly."

"N-No..." My vision became blurry. "Y-You need to explain.."

Then..everything went black.

....

"Who the fuck I gotta kill bruh? How babygirl just go'n faint like that?"

"She's fine. She should be waking up soon."

"Tell her I said I love her. Billie, don't let her do much, she could faint again. I don't wanna hear that this happened again. Take care of her for me."

"I got her. Don't worry."

"Thank you for calling me to let me know."

Then I heard silence. I slowly lifted my head up and felt a small weight on my chest.

"Oh!" Billie jumped. "Be careful. He was crying the whole time you was knocked out. I barley got him to sleep." She whispered, trying to pick up Jamal.

His little hands gripped my shirt. He didn't let go even though Billie kept trying to pull him away.

I shook my head no and held onto him. I sat up and yawned. "W-What happened?"

"You fainted." She rubbed her eyes. "Momma left. She said she went to go get something."

I laid back down on the couch and stayed silent.

"I gotta go, Kilani." She sighed. "You'll be okay?"

"Yeah.." I rubbed up and down Jamal's back. "Just pass me my phone."

She gave me phone and slipped on her hoodie. "Call me if anything happens, okay?"

I nodded. "I will. Don't worry."

She stared at me for a while before letting a breath out. She nodded once more and left.

I have nothing else better to do. I'm not complaining much. I'm good just sleeping here with Jamal.

But I'll just do a quick scroll through Instagram.
