a child as she tried to reach out for the certain pink gem, spinel turned around to see steven carrying a child in his arms and her eyes became stars.

"y/n!!!" she ran towards you and steven lets the gem handle you, spinel raises you above her head while you're giggling madly and waved your arms in any direction.

"baah bah spinehl." you said in your nonsensical speech, spinel raised a brow at you and lowered you down to look at you in the eyes.

"you're pretty talkative now." spinel chuckled. then someone (inconveniently) kicked the door open making you, spinel and steven look. and it's ronaldo.

"steven, steven!!" he said as he made his way towards the boy, but before he could say whatever the hell is gonna say. he looked at spinel and you then his eyes lit, he strutted towards the two of you in awe.

it's like he never seen a child before.

"do gems create organic matter like an infant?" ronaldo said as he poked your cheek, you don't like this kind of interaction with a stranger unless spinel or steven says they're a good guy but they didn't say anything about ronaldo.

you started whimpering and turned into a full out crying, spinel frowned and glared at ronaldo which made him backed up and hid behind steven.

"DON'T TOUCH THE CHILD!!!" spinel yelled and held you closer to her chest, she soothingly rubbed your back go calm you down. you looked up at spinel with your runny red nose and tear stained cheeks.

"don'tcha worry dolly, i'mma protect you." spinel winked at you making you return to your happy state and gave spinel your big smile. spinel looked the little girl's name and it made her insides warm.

spinel snapped her head again to ronaldo and it made him flinch. "don't touch my y/n again." steven pursed his lips and ushered ronaldo out of his house.
