" are you sure i'm not in a some sort of febreze commercial and that the crew team is late. coz i really need one for my brother, his bedroom smells like a lot died there. "

you talked and talked, spinel paced back and forth clearly annoyed of your constant chattering. that's your plan.

"will you just please shut the hell up!"

you hummed to yourself, trying to find another subject to talk about. "oh! does this cave have a wifi signal or something? there's a really good show in netflix, maybe we could watch together!"

spinel screamed and slammed her hands in between you making you immediately shut up "shutting up then..." you muttered as you can feel her hot breathing hitting your face.

"thank you." spinel pulled away from you "and yes i've watched it." she said as she pulled out a broken phone out of her pocket and threw it to the side.

"really? like kipo and the age of wonderbeasts? oh oh! did you watch she ra? or maybe black mirror, i haven't started but i heard it's really good." you started babbling again, spinel groaned and had to no choice but to listen all day.

"are you even afraid?" spinel asked all of the sudden making you shut up "what?"
"like, are you even fearing for your life that a mystical being is going to kill you any moment." she said as she hugged her legs close and her snakes mimicked what she's feeling.

"i mean.... i almost pissed my pants everytime you hiss at me. but overall... no, i don't feel threatened. probably because i don't see your face but i can't..." you trailed off as the thought of wanting to see spinel's face as been bothering you ever since you heard her speak.

if you did look at her, you'd turn into a statue for eternity.

"you want to see my face, do you?" spinel looked at your tied up figure and huffed "maybe.... okay, i'll be honest. your voice is really beautiful and i figured your face is beautiful too."

"what if it deceives you?"
you softly smiled and leaned against the wall.

"then i guess you're just too bewitching." spinel's eyes widened, no one's ever said that or even have a decent conversation with her without screaming for mercy and begging for them to live. even though the conversation is one sided but still!

a few seconds of silence started to concern you, "uh.. spinel? hiss if you're still there. i don't like being alone you know." you chuckled nervously, spinel slowly walked towards you and sat in front of you.

she emitted a soft hiss telling you she's still here, relief sets you in but you're questioning why spinel us in front of you. then you felt her hands cup the sides of your head, her hand is so soft...

"uh... don't tell me you'll rip my head off." you said with shakiness in your voice, spinel rolled her eyes. she leaned close to your lips and gave it a quick peck before slithering at the other side of the wall.

the two of you stayed silent for a second before you broke it "did you just... kiss me?" spinel bit the insides of her mouth, she looked at her other snakes pointing their heads to you.

"i... i do-"

"WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND?!"

"oh shit.... okay, i didn't mean to-" spinel cuts you off with a hug, you can feel the other snakes rubbing their small heads against your hair and forehead. they're also soft too.

"i guess i'll give it a try...." she whispered to your ear, a wave of excitement filled your stomach and a wide grin came to your face.

"hey... can you remove the ropes and the blindfold?" you asked, spinel pulled away from the hug and easily cut off the ropes off your limbs. "why the blindfold though? have you forgotten that i could turn you into stone?"

"well... just keep hugging me and i guess i just look at your hair." you said, you don't know if this'll work but it's worth a try.

spinel took a deep breath and sighed, she took off your blindfold and immediately hugging you again with her eyes closed tightly, praying you won't turn into stone. slowly fluttering your eyes open, you immediately noticed the fire in front of you.

"why is the fire so close to me? that's why my pants kept burning." you said as you looked down at your burnt lower pants.

spinel giggled "sorry, i kept telling you to stop moving though." you looked at spinel to see her wearing normal attire like you, looking at her snakes, to honest, they look adorable when they don't want to kill you.

one rubbed it's cheek to yours making you giggle then the rest joined in on the rubbing face, your giggles and laughter echoed throughout the cave walls. spinel gripped your shirt tightly and buried her face to your neck.

"thank you." she whispered and held you tightly, you smiled and softly placed your hand onto spinel's.

"is it okay for me to say i love you?"
spinel nodded.

"not... now."
