" pull the sail! mop the deck! go!!"

the loud bickering of your captain from above made your eye twitch in irritation, you passed the other drunk crew members of the ship. you stepped on the spilled booze making your thick boots wet in the process.

you snatched the mop that is standing at the corner of the ship, you hastily and aggressively mopped the floor while muttering ill words about the captain.

the ship has stolen yet another treasure from an island, yes, there were natives living on that island. key word; were.

you kicked the empty bottle of booze that is sprawled onto the floor and it rolled off into the sea. a few seconds of you mopping and enduring the loud shouting of your crew members.

looking out in the vast ocean, the sea breeze making your hair wave along like the ones in the sea.

the ship then suddenly rocked, this made the commotion come into a halt and listened. the ship rocked again but this time, a humongous tentacle slammed itself onto the ship's deck.

you dropped the mop and pulled out your pistol, everyone also pulled out their weapon and started shooting and stabbing the creature. you fired at the beast, but then another tentacle came out of the ocean and grabbed the back side of the ship.

you can hear wood cracking loudly, you looked down to see the boat is getting spit apart. you looked at your crew members to see them jumping off the ship, the captain might as well bring his treasures with him to death.

the kraken continued to tear the ship apart until you can see the underside of the ship below you, clicking your tongue, you have no choice.

you placed your pistol back into the holster and jumped into one of the dangling ships from the sides, you jumped and dodged the flying debris and got onto the boat.

you pulled out your knife and started cutting the ropes, but the other members noticed your effort of escape and took it to their own. one of them pushed you off the boat, your body fell and your back slapped the surface of the water.

you held your breath and gripped your knife tightly, you looked around the dark blue surroundings and saw the kraken underneath the ship. it's eyes met yours.

"hey, why is kraken attacking another ship?" a pink mermaid asked, the other mermaids and a merman looked at the scene. "they probably bumped his head or something." a purple mermaid said.

"he's really tearing the ship." the curly haired merman said, the pink mermaid swan a little closer to see the kraken extending one of it's tentacles and started attacking something.

"what is he doing..." she mumbled, then she started swimming closer to the scene, the others tried to get her back but she continued forward.

as the mermaid got to the scene, the kraken is flicking his tentacle at you with great speeds. you tried to dodge it and make a gash but the kraken hits your side making it hard for you to hold your breath.

the kraken retracted his tentacle, bubbles started to fill your vision while it's getting blurry. a voice was heard but you can't see nor hear it clearly as  you started to pass out.

"hey! stop it, go back to your den boy!" the pink mermaid said, the kraken looked at the mermaid then he huffed out bubbles and lets the ship go, letting it sink to the depths.

spinel looked at the unconscious y/n, bubbles are still going out of her mouth and nose. she quickly grabbed your body and placed her lips onto yours, then a bubble started to form until it fully surrounded your head.

spinel watched as your mouth started to slowly move, your chest started going up and down like normal. then you snapped your eyes open, you flailed your knife around the water, expecting the beast to attack you.

but all you see is a mermaid in front of you.

"...oh my god..." your breathing started to get heavy then you passed out. again.

spinel looked at you confused ar your reaction, but nonetheless, she grabbed your unconscious body and swam back to her friends with you.

as she arrived, they noticed the human behind her. "spinel...wHY DID YOU TAKE THAT HUMAN WITH YOU?!" pearl exclaimed as she hid behind garnet.

spinel looked at pearl while tilting her head "she seems fine, i just need-" she grabbed the knife you're still clenching and snatched the pistol out of the holster.

"-to take these away!! see? no problem." she made an okay sign while tossing the weapons behind her, letting it sink down with the ship.

"what are you gonna do with her? she's still human, that bubble can keep her breathing for a while." amethyst said as she crossed her arms.

spinel gently grabbed your wrist and pulled you in front of her, she looked at your unconscious face and smiled. "i'll take care of you."
