"you're coming to my party tonight right y/n?"

sitting on top of his counter, steven asked as he took a sip off his orange juice, you fidget your fingers around and gave the boy a shrug. "i don't know.."

steven pouted "come on y/n, we got a lot of snacks you know." he cooed as if food will sooth you to come to the party, you scoffed then you perked up as you heard the wooden door creak open and multiple footsteps are heard with a squeaky one.

"oh spinel, hey (random dood name)!" steven waved at them, you looked at the gem who has her arm wrapped around the guy's arm.

just by looking at them makes your insides twist painfully and your chest tightening. "what are ya'll talkin' bout?" spinel asked to steven.

"just about the party tonight, the two of you are coming right?"
the guy nodded "yeah, since little miss bunny here 'convinced' me to come." he said as he pinched spinel's cheek making you grip your thighs tightly.

then spinel noticed you "heya girly, what's your name?" you jumped as she asked you, you gulped "y... y/n" you stammered, spinel gave you a small smile before holding out her hand for you to shake.

you hesitantly reached out, looking at the guy, he flashed you a smile, your hand finally met the gem's and the shake lasted for a few seconds for letting go.

you held your hand to kept it from shaking, "well, we'll see each other tonight then. now get out here so i could prepare." steven said as he jumped down the counter, "owie, ya gotta that harsh? see ya'll tonight!" spinel said as the two of them started to head out of the house while waving goodbye.

you raised your hand and slowly waved back then the door closed shut, steven snapped his fingers to get your attention. you looked at him to see the boy wearing a sly smirk, you raised a brow at him "what?"

"i know that look. you were having a gay panic back there, didn't you?" your eyes widened "what?! there's no way i can be gay! i'm straight as a spaghetti stick."

"until it gets wet." steven snickered, you slammed your faces onto your hands and groaned in it. steven walked towards you and placed his hand onto your shoulder "hey, it's okay to be gay. look at me,  i'm dating connie and i used to have a crush on peedee."

you snapped your head to steven "peedee? as in peedee fryman, little brother of ronaldo fryman?!" steven nodded, he lets his hand go off your shoulder and rubbed the back of his neck.

"look, i get it if you're questioning yourself. i've been there, if you need some talking i'll be here to help you." you looked down at the wooden ground and sighed, you nodded and steven gave you a small pat on the back.
