the sounds of crunching leaves beneath your heel is heard as you continuously wander around the now dark forest. you knew this'd be a bad idea yet you went anyways, damn.

the sounds of crickets are enough to accompany you in your nightly walk, though somewhere within you is screaming for you to use your legs and run but you don't wanna waste your stamina just yet.

as you continued to wander, your surroundings started to morph into something that probably came out in a horror video game.

the trees are skinny making the leaves you stomp on a little deeper, what's in front of you will be pure dark if the moonlight isn't there to help you.

the voices inside you started to shout 'run bitch run' as the easiness is started to wash in.

then your eyes slightly twitched as you heard another footstep crunching the leaves behind you, you took a deep breath and exhaled shakily, you can see your breath from the moonlight as it's nearing winter.

'stay calm, you don't wanna let whoever is following you know you're afraid right?' you thought to yourself. you continued to listen to the footsteps behind you, they aren't stopping or increasing their speed.

oh no, nevermind.

the person behind you started to speed up, you couldn't contain it anymore, you started speed walking but as you heard their footsteps getting near you, you ran.

you ran, not allowing yourself to look behind you, you continued to run while passing through some trees.
then the running footsteps abruptly stopped, you stopped yourself and took deep breaths as you bent down a little.

you gritted your teeth as you breath behind it, you slowly turned around to see no one there to your relief. you took a big sigh of relief, then as you turned around, a towering shadow stood in front of you, completely covering the moon.

you looked up only see their violent magenta eyes glaring at you. you wanted to run away, but you couldn't as your legs are wobbly. you don't really know if from fear or tiredness.

then an abrupt pain came onto the side of your head before blacking out.

ou winced in pain as you can feel your head have a headache, you slowly opened your eyes to see the light of the fireplace and some small burnt woods flies out then drops onto the wooden floor.

you slowly push yourself up and blinked multiple times to adjust yourself around the surroundings. from all of wood works around here, seems like you're in a cabin.

"good, you're awake. i found you passed out on the floor while i'm searching for some dry wood." a gem said as she stepped into the light, you looked to the side but before you could look at her eyes, you found yourself fixated at the glistening gemstone thanks from the fire.

"you sure you haven't hit your head?" spinel asked, you shook your head and looked at spinel into her eyes. you slightly frowned as you found familiarity at those hues.

weird.

"thanks for helping me." you said, as you moved your hands, you heard a metal clanging and your hands was returned back to where is was.

before you could ask what's with the sound, spinel cutted you off "what are you doing here in the dead of night?"

"i was dared to reach the edge of the forest but it seems like i lost." you said, you looked down at the side to see your hand hidden underneath the covers.

you tried to take it off by using your other hand but you couldn't move it as well, you frowned and snapped your head at spinel who's eyes are glowing as the same eyes you saw before you passed out.

"who are you?! what do you want from me?!" you shouted, you struggled trying to get out but it's futile. spinel stepped out of the fire's light and walked up at the side of your bed.

"i'm spinel as you couldn't tell and i don't need much, you just have beautiful eyes" spinel softly said as she softly caressed your cheeks and held it still for her to look deeply into your hues.

"you wouldn't mind if i take them right?"
