Spinel One-Shots💖

goodbye.

it has been a long journey for us to reach 200. but, all things must come to an end, this is my last oneshot of my longest book (aside from the pics) i've ever made before my hiatus, i don't know how long it will last but soon, i will come back.

to all the readers, it's been a wild ride for the both of us. without you, this book or the other books i've made so far wouldn't have reached it's ending. though some endings sucked and i hate myself for that.

your constant support and love for my work is overwhelming for me, i've never been given this much praise though i do not deserve it to say the least.

well, that's enough for my chattering, welcome and thank you for staying.

also, someone asked me to make an independent book on one of the oneshots i published, well, i did it :))

this is the last oneshot of over beloved spinel in this book.

as the final sun rises to the east, the glimmering waves of the ocean hitting it's shores, the light chirping of the seagulls and birds, saying their good mornings to one another.

walking through the beach with your hair letting the winds play with it, the sound of soft crunches on the sand below your soles. you stopped and took a moment to look at the beautiful scenery that you doubt you'll ever see again.

it's a possibility.

the sounds of waves hitting shore slightly muffled the other footsteps coming towards you, you already know who that is.

stopping right beside you and looked at the same scenery "doesn't this get old?" she asked, clearly unamused. you chuckled "never." turning to face her.

you lifted your hand to caress her smooth cheek, looking into her eyes to see it slightly red indicating she has been crying. "did you packing everything?" she asked as she placed her gloved hand onto yours.

you nodded "toothbrush, bunny, clothes, underwear." spinel rose a brow "bunny?"
you grinned "the bunny you won for me remember?" that clicked something in spinel and she indeed remember the time she almost wrecked the booth as the guy is obviously rigging the play.

"oh that.." spinel lightly snickered but her grin slowly fade away, you lightly frowned. "you have been crying, haven't you." the gem softly gripped your wrist and held it with both of her hands.
both of your ringed hands intertwined.

"what if i never get to see you again? then i'll be all alone again while you're out there in the world somewhere..." spinel's voice cracked as she tried to choke her bottled up feeling and tears up but failed as new set of tears started to flow down.

you immediately wiped her stream of tears and held her close to your chest "of course, i'll come back to you idiot! that'd be stupid of me to not do that, even though we're miles apart, just remember the two of are inseparable." you lightly touched spinel's gem and kissed her forehead.

"we'll always call and talk okay? so don't be so bummed all year long, you know i don't like that." you said as you cupped her cheeks making the pink gem giggle, she looked into your (e/c) with much lovingness with her own magenta hues.

"i just.. don't get why we have to be away from each other." she said as she looked down at the grainy sand, lightly huffing.

"i'm sorry but i have to, maybe it'll only take a couple of months."

"or a year." she mumbled, "hey, i love you and i always have and will. like i said, no matter how far we are. we're inseparable." you said, you leaned close to spinel and nuzzled your noses together.

fluttering your eyes half lid, you looked down at spinel's lips. without a second thought, you softly placed your lips onto spinel's, the gem didn't argue and kissed back.

the kissed last for a good amount of time, this is, in fact, the last kiss you'll ever get from your lover. slowly pulling away as air became a problem, you wish the kiss could last longer...

softly panting, your foreheads touched one another, silently taking the moment. "i love you." you whispered, spinel smiled and closed her eyes "i love you too."

"y/n!! let's go!" steven's voice is heard from the distance, you looked to the side to see him and other gems waiting by the car. you looked back at spinel who's still eyeing the ground, softly intertwining your hands onto hers before walking up to them.

"ready to go?" steven said as he took out his car keys, you nodded and faced spinel one last time. immediately hugging her tightly which spinel didn't hesitate to reciprocate, she started sobbing and you can feel her wet tears staining the back of your shirt.

you couldn't hold it anymore, your own tears started streaming down as well. "i love you so much, please come back okay?" spinel choked out, you nodded vigorously.

"i will, i promise." you kissed the side of spinel's head and pulled away, the two of you saw how much a mess you are when crying. sniffing, you wiped the tears and leaned in for a kiss one last time before entering the car.

as the two of you pulled away, you looked at the crystal gems and smiled at them. "please take care of her." they gave you a thumbs up "don't worry, we'll take good care of spinel." garnet said as she patted the pink gem's head.

you opened the passenger door and got inside, slamming the door shut. steven started the car and you rolled the window down, you started waving frantic goodbyes for them.

spinel tried to fight thr urge to run after you, her hand quivered as she waved goodbye to you. as the car turned to a corner, the gems are no longer visible on the mirror.

you slumped back at the seat and rolled up the window, sighing as tears continued to roll down your cheek. steven looked at you at the corner of his eye, he lifted his hand and patted your shoulder softly.

"you'll come back, right?" he asked. smiling, you wiped your eyes and looked at him.

"always."
