"oh y/n! i didn't see ya there, hehe. what are ya doing here? aren't the two of you supposed to be back next week?" she grinned maliciously.

"you're gonna come back right?" spinel asked as she weep like a toddler on her first day of daycare. you giggled and softly rubbed her head "of course, it's just a week."

"does she have to come with you..?" spinel sneered as she looked at connie who's talking with steven and the others, probably saying their goodbyes.

"yes, i know you don't really like connie but she can help me go around space camp."

"

but! what if they accepted you and i'll never get to see you again?!" spinel exclaimed, she started panicking but you hushed her and let her rest on top of your gem which is in your chest just like spinel's.

spinel looked at the corner of her eye, your gem is covered by your shirt but she can see some of it peeking out. "i guess i have to do my worse then." you chuckled, you planted a small kiss in spinel's forehead and pulled away from the hug.

"i promise i'll be back okay? a week will fly by quickly." you said as you picked your bag up from the ground and swung it over your shoulder, "y/n, ready??" connie asked, you looked over at the girl and nodded.

in a mere second, you saw spinel glaring at connie before giving you a smile. "bye spinsy." you waved at spinel and headed out of the door. steven and the others came outside to continue waving goodbye to the two, steven lets connie drive his car since she is his girlfriend.

spinel stayed inside and watched at the window, connie readied the car and you strapped your seatbelt on. waving your last goodbye, you flew a flying kiss to spinel that made the gem's cheek glow dark pink.

then the car turned to a corner and disappeared, heading to space camp.

the crystal gems stayed a few more seconds outside before getting inside, steven looked at spinel who's sitting by the window she looked out to see you leave.

"spinel, aren't you going back to homeworld?" steven asked, spinel just stared at the wooden floor while gripping the rejuvenator behind her leg. "i think... i'll stay here for a while."

steven pursed his lips and sighed "i guess it wouldn't hurt to let you stay." spinel slowly cracked her neck to face steven which made the boy slightly cringe.

"oh it won't hurt at all. it would be devastating." spinel said with a wicked smirk across her face as she showed the rejuvenator and lit it up.

while silently driving with soft music emitting from the radio, it's nearing dusk and you're growing sleepy. softly resting your head to the window, slowly soothing yourself to slumber.

but it was rudely interrupted by connie's phone ringing, you looked down at the cup holder to see steven's name on it. you smirked and rose a brow "aren't you gonna answer that mrs universe?" you teased.

connie playfully rolled her eyes, she pressed called along with the speaker. "hold this for a while." she gave you her phone. after a few noises of clanging then something thudded next to the phone.

"connie?" it's steven, but his voice is weak.

"steven? what's happening? did amethyst and peridot have a cook out or something?" heavy breathing is heard to the other head, you sent connie a worried look which she also returned.

"no... please, never come back here. especially you y/n! please! just--!" then steven is cut off by the sound of flesh impaled, it made the both of you cringe at the sound.

then the call is hung up, the continuous beeping from the phone lets your thoughts gets all jumbled up, mixed up.

"we're going back, aren't we." you said lowly, you looked at connie's grip on the steering wheel. she took a deep breath before slamming the breaks, you almost dropped her phone good thing you have your seat belt on.

"you just read my mind." connie maneuvered the car around and stepped on the gas to get back to beach city as soon as possible.

as the two of you got to the beach house, it's more eerie and creepy since there's no lights inside. you got out of the car and started walking towards the house with connie in front with her big sword.

you pulled out (a weapon of choice) and readied yourself for any sneak attacks. you and connie are facing the pitch black living room with the screendoor blocking the view.

you took a deep breath before kicking the door open expecting a maniac to jump out of the darkness. "where's the light switch?" you asked as you tried to adjust.

"wait, hold on. i think it's right here." connie felt the cold wooden walls then she felt the familiar light switch. as she flicked it open, your heart drops.

so many blood is splattered across the blood and steven's lifeless body ar the corner is bathed with so much blood. at the counter, spinel is humming a light tune while rubbing her fingers together to make a crunching sound.

then she did the motion of adding salt to a dish and you saw stardust. no, not stardust. gem shards degraded into millions of pieces.

"oh god..." you mumbled and slowly backed up but your footing made the wood creak and made spinel snap her head towards the two of you making you jump and yelp.

    
"oh y/n! i didn't see ya there, hehe. what are ya doing here? aren't the two of you supposed to be back next week?" she grinned maliciously.

"what- WHAT DID YOU DO!!?" connie screamed and she started running up to spinel "no connie wait-!" without hesitating, spinel swiftly sliced connie in half.

her upper body fell to the ground with her legs slowly kneel then fall, more blood continued to stain the wood. spinel started walking towards you with, she withdrawn her scythe and placed it inside her gem.

you backed up more, your grip of your weapon is shaking. spinel noticed that, she knows she can't hurt you.

"hey dolly~" she cooed as she rubbed your cheek with her blooded hand, you shivered at the feeling her cold hand. "why- did you do that..." you said as tears staring brimming.

"oh love, you'd do the same thing." you shook your head "n-no i wouldn't! i'm not a killer!"

"are you sure about that?"
