" spins, say hi to topaz. "

you said as you introduced your girlfriend to a friend, spinel held your hand tightly while looking down to her shoes. "hi.." she mumbled before hiding behind your back.

you huffed, you waved goodbye to your friend as they gotta go. you turned around to face spinel, you cupped her cheeks softly.

"hey, there's no need to be scared. everybody has forgiven you already." you said, spinel whimpered "i feel like they don't.." she said as she held your hands.

you softly smiled and quickly gave her a hug "trust me, they do. now come on!" you grabbed spinel's hand started walking to the forest which has a beautiful lake that no one in beach city knows about but you.

"why are we in the forest again?" spinel asked as she jumped over a stump and tried to keep a close proximity to you "there's a lake i found in this forest that i wanna show you." you mildly explained but it's enough to make spinel not back out.

while walking and stomping some dead leaves and twigs, another footstep is heard that made spinel stop in her tracks. you stopped as well as you couldn't pull spinel anymore.

"what's wrong?" you walked towards the gem, seeing her worried look. "there's someone here." she said as she looked around. "well this is a public area, so it's common for gems and humans to walk here. let's go." you tugged spinel's hand, indicating for her to come along now.

hesitating, spinel started flowing you again. the gem looked around to see if anybody is following them or just passing by.

then spinel's hand felt a hard tug making her look in front. you're holding for dear life on spinel's hand as something is pulling your leg, your mouth is covered in web making your shouts muffled.

"y/n!!" spinel tried to pull you away from the thing but it got you. "no! no no no!! come back!!" she watched as thing pulled you away and into the darkness.

gritting her teeth in anger, spinel illuminated the path by her gem and saw where you were dragged. she saw multiple holes on the ground besides the dragged dirt.

spinel pulled her scythe out of her gem and pushed the button, making the pink hue illuminate the trees and path more.

you grunted as the creature slammed you to the wall, as you tried to get up and run away. you can't move, looking down, you're caught in a giant web.

"spiderman? i promise i'm gonna pay my rent, i swear." your voice echoed throughout the walls, guessing you're in a cave.

then a loud hiss is heard and a big arachnid came into the light, it roared and climbed up to the web.

"oh you're not spiderman. hey hey, wait!!" you shouted making the spider stop whatever it's wanting to do. "let's just talk about this for a sec okay? so, what's your name?"

in response, the arachnid roared. you nodded in understandment but you really didn't understand what the hell it said. "that's a beautiful name, i must say."

the eight eyed monster looked at you with it's beady black eyes, "yeah, i'm y/n and the gem from earlier is spinel, my girlfriend." your smile turned a little trembling as you can piss your pants right then and there.

"get your hairy legs off your girl!!" then spinel came into the cave and tossed her scythe, completely slashing one of the spider's legs and almost your own legs but it sliced the webs off.

"hey, thanks!!" you said with a big smile, "don't thank me yet, also nice distraction." spinel said as she sliced all of the remaining webs off you to make you fall to the ground.

"why thank you dearest." you bowed, then the spider roared again and brought it's legs to stomp you. spinel grabbed your hand and started running out of the cave.

spinel stopped and threw her scythe above the cave making the rocks fall down and block the only entrance and escape for the creature.

panting heavily, you bent down and patted spinel's back and grinned. "you did great!!" spinel helped you stand up straight and smiled "good god, i never understand how you live this long."

you shrugged "i guess i'm just lucky." you pinched spinel's cheek making her grumble and pull away, you giggled and held the gem close.

"thanks for saving me back there."

she blushed and looked the other way, "whatever, let's just go to this stupid lake."
