" are you sure that i won't be seen by the others like this? " you asked as you're completely buried in spinel's fur.

"you will if you don't stop squirming under me." spinel whispered, you grunted and stuck your head out of spinel's furry chest to breath "i can just go back to my hole."

"not a chance."
you sighed and placed your chin on top of your palm. spinel rolled over to the side, letting you finally move then she dropped her paw onto you.

spinel's nose lightly moved as she sniffed you again, "hey, what do you have under your paw?" the pink cat's eyes widened and she looked to the side to see another cat with a curious look on their face.

"nothing." spinel said, she pushed you off her bed and you immediately hid to the sides. the cat rose a brow, they started sniffing the air and walked towards spinel.

"hey hey, person space will ya." spinel got out of her bed and sat down on the floor as the other cat sniff her bed. she looked at the corner of eyes to see you still hiding by the bed, she motioned her tail to beckon you towards her.

you noticed her tail, then you looked at the cat who's getting closer. you took a deep breath and quickly ran towards spinel's tail. you slide and rammed into her tail which spinel quickly coiled to cover you.

"are ya done, sir inspector?" the cat looked at spinel, they let out a huff and walked away. spinel sighed and looked down at her tail, "please let me go back to my hole now." you said as you don't want other cats hunting you in every move.

well, that's basically your life when you still live in your hole, but still!

spinel giggled, she bit your ear and made you get on her back again. "you ain't going anywhere, besides, i swore that i'll protect ya. you can't trust me?"
you whined and laid on top of her back.

"not really since one of you ate the previous tenants of that hole."
spinel huffed "they're big such a loud mouth, besides, we didn't eat them. they died of rat poison, so it's the human's fault."
you rolled your eyes then gasped and gripped her fur as spinel jumped up to the counter.

"warn me next time." you said as you sat up, "y/n, was it? you're only thinking bout the cons of being out here, but you never stop to think about the pros."
you raised an eyebrow.

"surprise me, kitty."

spinel chuckled, she scratched the fridge door and eventually opened. she pushed it open farther with her nose.
the cool air of the fridge hit the both of you, spinel closed her eyes, enjoying the cold air.

you ran to spinel's head, your nose wiggled as you can smell so many things. "which cheese do you prefer tiny?" spinel grinned, your eyes lit up and a big smile came to your face.

"i don't care as long it taste good!" you said then jumped off spinel's head and leaned on one of the shelves of the fridge, spinel sat down and started grooming herself while you're getting high of cheese.

"are ya done?" spinel said as she poked her head inside the fridge, she saw you hugging a block of cheese. "can i take this one?" you said as you rubbed the side of the cheddar.

"yeah, but we need to cut it." the cat said as she brought out her claws, you shook your head and pushed the cheese away from her. "no! you're not gonna touch my cheese!"

spinel looked at you deadpan, she leaned more inside the fridge and bit into the cheese. you gasped, jumped onto it and started to slap spinel's nose.

"stop it before i eat you for real this time." spinel growled which made you shut up and purse your lips. "good mouse." she settled the cheese down next to her and closed the fridge door close.

"let's go to the stock room."
you nodded, you ran up to spinel's back as she bit into the cheese again. she jumped down and started speed walking, heading to the stock room.

"spinel, what are you gonna do with that cheese?" one of the cats asked as she walked out of the kitchen "figured there'd be more rats so i'll use this as bait." the cats nodded in awe "nice thinking!" they said.

spinel chuckled and quickly trotted to the stock room. as the two of you got there, spinel pushed the door open a little bit and placed the cheese down.

you got off spinel's back and quickly ran towards the cheese "oh my lovely, we're safe now." you talked to the cheese before nibbling at it.

spinel laid down on her stomach, placed her chin on top of her soft paws and watched you eat away the cheese.

"well, whaddya say tiny. are gonna stay here safe with me or be forever hunted by this idiots?"
you looked up to spinel, her magenta eyes are lightly glowing within the darkness of the room but the outside light still comes in.

you took adew small nibble out of the cheese with your small hand and offered to the pink cat. "consider this as an... i don't know, offering of agreement?"

spinel took at the nibble and smiled, she took out her tongue slightly and licked your hand, taking the small cheese. "i think we'll be great friends."
