" where... am i..? "

you ended up travelling too far from the camp and into the dark forest out of all places. you stumbled and tripped at the roots of the overgrown trees, cringing at the sound of something squishing behind your sole.

slowly looking down, it's only a leech.

a leech.

you shrieked and kicked the now dead leech and backed up, you shivered as you felt something crawl your back. screaming, you patted your back to grab the thing that crawled your back then you fell into the murky swamp.

you stood up and trembled as you're all wet now. dirty and wet, you let out a shaky sighed and started to get out of the swamp.

you froze as you heard a splash behind you, slowly turning to look over your shoulder, you saw small waves from the place where someone or something went in the waters.

slowly turning your head around, you gritted your teeth and started to run out of the water but something underwater grabbed your heel.

you screamed and tried to grab something to hold you, but you just scraped the mug and went under. struggling to breath, you can't see what's pulling you and you didn't see the rock that hits your head hard.

completely knocking you out.

looking at her curiously, she paced back and forth whether or not is she should show this girl to the others as a meal or make her as a meal for herself.

with her tail wrapped tightly around the unconscious girl, "what to do with you..." she said as she rubbed her chin.

slowly fluttering your eyes open, you gasped which caught the naga's attention. she smirked and hissed at you "my, you're awake. i was expecting you'd be passed out longer from how hard that blow was." she pointed at your bleeding head.

"p- please... let me go, i need to-" the snake cut you off as she tightened her wrap around you, as you're gasping for air, she slightly loosen her grip and chuckled.

"let you go? i'm not letting my food get even more dirty, i shouldn't have dragged you onto the swamp." you trembled as you heard the snake say 'food'.

trembling, you gritted your teeth as you want to fight the creature but sighed and hung your head low as you don't have to gut to do it. how are you gonna fight a naga anyways, bite their tail? your bones are gonna crushed in a second.

spinel raised an eyebrow at your sudden silence "hey. say something, was i too scary?" she grabbed your chin to make you look at you, she lightly gasped as she saw tears flowing your eyes.

"wh- don't cry, hey stop it." spinel panicked and immediately recoiled her tail, letting you drop to the ground. you looked up at the nega with a confused face "did you just let me go?"

spinel froze for a second then looked down at you "then why aren't you running?" now it's your turn to freeze up, then you noticed something move at the surface of swamp.

actually, spinel didn't bring you to her home (yet) or the den where all the negas are, waiting for their next meal, just at the other side of the swamp.

"well?" you shook your head, slowly reaching something behind you. spinel followed your hand, her tail shaking like rattle snake as your hand got closer and closer to the thing you're reaching.

you paid no mind, kind of, to the rattle of the naga. you just watched as the water of the swamps shift and move. then something came out of the swamp, it's practically the height of the loch ness monster.

you swiftly pulled out a grenade and threw it at the creature which got into it's mouth as it's still showing off it's height. at the same time, spinel leaned in and bit your arm, letting her venom flow into your blood stream.

you screamed and fell to your knees as as you felt your legs quiver and can't hold your weight and your bitten arm instantly went numb.

spinel instantly regretted what she did, she lifted you off the ground and carried you bridal style. she looked at the monster before it's mouth got blown up letting out it's roar of anguish.

the nega quickly slithered away, heading to the witch that'll get the venom out of your body.

"stay with me human, i'll take you to [...] it's gonna okay." spinel said, you barely heard what she said. your eyelids started to grow heavy before the darkness consumed you.
