" y/n, where have you been? "

steven asked and stopped kissing the ground to bring back the grass as he saw his friend after all the things that happened.

you looked around the hill that is half returning to it's original state. "i was our of town, didn't i tell you that?" you said "hey connie!" you waved connie who's holding a glass of water.

steven stood up, he grabbed the glass and drank it all. he sighed as he wiped his mouth, he thanked connie and handed the glass back.

you whistled "who wreck the entire town? i had to hopscotch my way here." steven hummed as he walked towards you "another mom problem." he said with a dragged out tone.

you nodded, you patted his shoulder "so i'm guess you're able to turn them into a good guy and is somewhere here in earth, helping cleaning up the mess."

"well, technically no." steven said.

"spinel's with the diamonds." amethyst said, taking the words out of steven's mouth. you made 'ahh' noise in understanding "the diamonds, can you take me to her?"

"wha- but we don't know how she'll react and-"

you waved your hand in dismiss of his worries "pssh, you worry too much steven. i just wanna introduce myself to the gem, that's all." you said as you fixed your back.

"you can tell me her backstory or not, depends on you." you said as you started walking down the hill while jumping over the streaks of poison, heading towards steven's house.

steven sighed, he turned around and connie gave him a thumbs up. "don't worry steven, we'll take care of this." she said, steven smiled and nodded before taking off, catching up with you.

as the two of you finally reached his beach house, you grumbled as steven finished telling spinel's background. "geez, seems like a good gem if pink diamond didn't leave her."

"yeah..." steven said, the two of you stepped onto the warp pad, "ready?" you nodded and put on a confident face. as the warp go off, the two of you immediately got inside the diamond throne room.

and sitting in the giants chairs, you gasped and looked at the diamonds in awe at the size of them. you're first one to step off the pad to look at the interior design of the palace.

"oh steven. came to visit us so soon?" white said as she notices her nephew below and also you "who's this.. human?" you turned to face them and gave them a wave.

"i'm y/n, your highness!" you shouted to make them hear you then bowed down before standing up straight again. the three diamonds looked down at you with amused faces.

"it's nice to meet you y/n." blue softly says, she lowered her hand until it met the ground. you don't know what to do with it so you jumped onto it and blue raised it up for the other two diamonds to look at you more.

as blue raises you up, steven has a worried look on his face and yellow notices it. "do you want to be lifted up too steven?" she asks.

steven furiously shook his head "no no, the floor is fine. i like... floors." he stuttered out without thinking, white and yellow looked down at him weird but shrugged it off as a human thing.

over in yellow's shoulder, you notice something pink there. "hey, is that spinel?" you asked. yellow nodded, she lightly tapped the gem on her shoulder which made spinel turn around and look at the diamonds.

"spinel, look at this amusing human steven brought." blue said as she passed you to yellow, you jumped off her hand and landed onto the other diamond.

"other human?" spinel muttered, then as her eyes met yours. her gem lightly glowed as if something new was discovered.

"hi, i'm y/n!" you said energetically as you offered your hand to the new gem in front of you, spinel switches her gaze on your hand to your eyes before slowly shaking your hand.

you smiled widely which flutters spinel's insides even more. as the hand shake is done, spinel is devastated as she wants to hold you more.

steven, who is feeling super uncomfortable of you being super high up there said; "y/n, let's go. you still have luggage to unpack right?"

you made a quick 'oh' noise "right, be right down!" you replied "luggage?" spinel asks, you turned back to spinel and nodded "yeah, i just got back from a trip. guess i missed your entrance scene." you said.

then yellow's hand started to move away from her shoulder, spinel held our her hand, wanting to catch you but she didn't.

as the hand is near the floor, you jumped off and started waving the diamonds and spinel goodbye while walking backwards.

steven helped you back up to the warp pad, before he could teleport away, you screamed; "i'll visit again! i promise!" then you're gone.

spinel stared at the empty warp pad, she slowly placed her hands onto her upside down gem and softly smiled as her mind started to wander to you.

"make sure of that.." she whispered to herself.
