" princess? "

as the knight kneeled down at the edge  of the ill princess, she lightly grabbed her hand to feel it cold. "spinel.." the princess croaked as if her voice is no longer there.

"i'll find a cure alright? i swear!" spinel said as she gripped your hand tightly, you slowly shifted your head to look at spinel's glossy magenta eyes filled with sorrow. you slowly raised your hand to rub her cheek softly "i love you."

spinel bit her lip as tears are threatening to fall, she placed her hand on top of yours in her cheek "i love you too." you gave her a weak smile before letting your hand fall down, this alarmed spinel.

she immediately checked your pulse, as she could hear faint beating, she sighed and stood up. a knock was heard and one of spinel's comrades stuck their head out "captain, it's time to go."

spinel nodded, she bent down to grab her helmet from the ground, as she stood right up. spinel kissed her index finger and middle finger then placed it on your forehead before leaving.

the king is desperate of curing his daughter, he ordered all of his knights to seek for the cure of the unknown illness that stuck you to your death bed.

as spinel got on her horse, she looked back at her comrades. "all of us will hunt for a witch that will cure the princess. if we failed, we failed as knights and the blood of the princess is on our hands. understood!?" spinel said.

"yes captain!!" they all roared, spinel nodded and whipped the horse to make it run. (/*idk the word for that ;-;)

as spinel's knights stumbled upon a dark forest, they would think there would be a witch hiding somewhere. while walking through the dark, damp forest with their horse in leashes.

stomps of dried leaves and branches are heard throughout, then unfamiliar sound was heard from behind them. the knights that have torches shone what's behind them to see nothing.

mere seconds later something jumped on one of the knights with a torch, their screams of fear started to fill the surrounding area. all of the knights, including spinel brought out their swords, the knights near the attacked one tried to slice the monster off but ended up decapitating his comrade.

then from behind them, they could see multiple red eyes glaring at them and is coming closer by the second "RUN!!" all of them got onto their horses and started running away from whatever that thing is.

the ones that are far behind are getting attacking and eaten instantly, spinel looked back to see only few are behind her. spinel whipped her horse to increase speed but the horse caught something on it's leg which caused it to be out of balance and topple spinel off the horse's back.
