synopsis:
you found yourself in the deepest part of the woods with no recollection on how you got there. a certain someone gladly helps you return to your village.

the muffled sound of rustling of leaves on their trees made you slowly flutter your eyes open only to be temporarily blinded by the sunlight.

groaning, you slowly sat up from the ground which has big leaves below you. not paying any mind of the massive leaves, you looked around and you're surrounded by giant trees with it's leaves almost covering the sun.

you stood up and patted yourself, gulping as you don't where to go or how you even got here in the first place. you hummed and rubbed your chin, trying to figure out which way you'll go.

"is it this way??" you asked mostly to yourself "i wouldn't go there. that's where the giants sleep." your eyes widened, you swiftly turned around to spot the person who talked.

"who- is anyone there?" you asked with your voice slightly quivering, then at the corner of your eye, you saw something twinkling. you turned to face the twinkling thing and readied yourself if it attacks.

then it glowed, shielding your eyes then as the light show stopped, you slowly lowered your hands to see a beautiful pink fairy.

you're standing there speechless as the fairy walked towards you, what caught your eye is her big glowing gem in her chest and her cute heart buns. she got in front of you with her hands behind her back and wore a bright smile.

you don't know what to do except to smile back "you had me worried back there ya know." raising a brow at what the fairy said "what do you mean?"

"oh! how can i forget, the goblins wiped your memories didn't they?" you still don't know what the hell this fairy is saying, you just woke up in this forest and baam a fairy is in front of you.

the fairy lightly giggled and waved her hand in dismiss of what she just said "don't stress bout that toots, you wanna go back to your village?" you nodded vigorously as you can't muster up a word to say to the fairy.

her wings fluttered and glitter came out, falling down to the ground, "i'm spinel." she held out her hand. you looked down at her hand. it looks so smooth.

"don't tell you forgot your name too." spinel giggled that made you snap out of your daze "i'm y/n." you said as you slowly held her hand and shook it. a light blush came to your face then your small interaction is finished.

spinel went ahead of you and started heading to the east, she looked at you over her shoulder and ushered you. quickly running to the fairy's side, the two of you started walking in silence with the sound of chirping, croaking and some unusual noise to serve as background noise.

"so... what are you before you came into this forest?" spinel asked as she broke the silence, you looked at her and hummed. "i guess i'm a merchant's child?" you said with uncertainty.

"oh, then your father or mother might've left the village they're selling illegal products." spinel said, you frowned "illegal? but my father's products are up to code." you said in defence but spinel shook her head.

"merchants and sometimes normal people illegally steal from us magicals, even though the king himself talked to the king of your land to prohibit this kind of act, you humans still do it." spinel explained, you clenched your fists tightly as you've been lied throughout your life.

"maybe that's why the goblins attacked you because they thought you're here to excavate the magic and display our bodies." your eyes widened in horror, you gripped your arm tightly.

"i'm sorry." you mumbled, spinel looked at you, she noticed you're in a vulnerable position with your head hung low. "it's not your fault, it's just an misunderstanding. you're not here to kill and steal the magic, are you?" spinel said, her eyes darkened at the last sentence.

you shook your head, although you didn't see the fairy's threatening gaze at you, your heart isn't in the right place to even think of stealing the magic of this forest. "i don't think here to do any of those things before i lost my memory."

spinel's gaze softened as she smiled widely, she looked at the horizon to see a light at the end of the forest. "well, this is as far as i can go y/n." spinel said as she stopped you.

you looked at the end of the forest then back at spinel "am i allowed to back in?" spinel hummed "maybe, if you know where to look." she winked, you softly smiled.

"i'll see you again, okay?" you said as you stepped your foot out of the magically forest. spinel waved you goodbye "it's a date."

you chuckled and waved her goodbye too, then you final foot stepped into reality and spinel is no longer behind you. you gasped and looked around in any signs of the pink fairy.

spinel looked at you from the other side, she placed her hand on the divider of between two worlds.
"how did she even get through the barrier intact." spinel wondered, she shrugged and childishly skipped away.
