happily skipping around the now dark empty, silent town of beach city as the sun falls and the moon rises. not paying attention to anything and is neither noticing the dark aura emitting somewhere around her.

the pink gem swung her noodle arms back and forth like a little child is she, then she noticed an alley that is never been there before, or just she didn't notice from all the adventures she had this morning.

the alley is full of lights and has foreign language she doesn't understand, it's like a whole new dimension over there.

without giving any second thought about, spinel entered the alleyway, new things sparks adventure for this gem. as she strolls around, looking at the different signs with the same foreign language and some smoke is coming out of the sewer, why is that?

then she stopped in front of a vending machine displaying all it's contents. ranging to chocolate bars to canned booze. spinel doesn't have any change in her pocket, so she stretched her arm, inserted it in the vending machine and crept it's way towards the chocolate bars which she all took.

spinel fished her arm out with a handful of bars, she grinned widely and placed all of the chocolate bars inside her gem and decided to leave one so she could eat it.

then a shadow loomed over her small figure, spinel slowly turned around to see a gem behind her with their eyes glowing menacingly.

"hi!" spinel said with ecstatic in her voice, the gem sneered at her and raised their hand before bringing it down to spinel's head. the pink gem dodged it and jumped overhead which the tall one swiftly tried to sweep her off her feet but spinel jumped again and held on the metal railings with her biting the still wrapped chocolate bar.

"it's nice to meet you! i'm spinel, what's yours?" spinel said, still unfazed that the fact this gem is actually trying to kill her.
the gem growled and pulled something out of their gemstone.

a (weapon of choice).

they swung/aim it towards spinel which she easily dodged thanks to her elasticity. spinel landed on the ground and kicked the gem's legs making them kneel a little before spinel punched their face and made them all on their backs.

the pink gem sighed and finally opened up her chocolate bar, she walked towards the fallen gem before taking bite.

"hey, are okay mister? miss?" spinel said as she loomed over, the lights from the alleyway illuminated the face of the gem. it's a (gem of choice).

"whoa..." spinel stared in awe but it was shirt lived as you snapped your eyes open and immediately stood back up. instinctively, spinel sprung herself onto the vending machine and pushed it with all her might then it crashed into the recovering gem.

as the sounds of glass shattering are heard, spinel walked closer to you again to see if you're okay but not moving. then the sound of plastic crunching is heard, the vending machine started to jiggle and move.

the pink gem backed up and she pulled out another chocolate bars since she doesn't have any weapon in her, as the vending machine flew away and you stood again, glaring at spinel.

you took deep heavy breaths, spinel noticed that. she momentarily dropped her fighting stance, she started to walk closer to you, slowly, you growled at the gem but she didn't stop.

"hi, i'm spinel in case you didn't catch that." she said as she held out her hand to you, you looked down at the pink gloved hand offered to you then at spinel.

you hesitated on taking the handshake, then as you gripped her hand it squeaked which made you flinch a little but cleared your throat as if nothing happened.

spinel saw that and she giggled then finally did the handshake "what's yours?" 
you dropped your hand to your side and raised an eyebrow at spinel "your name silly. i already told you mine, so what's yours?"

you looked down at the ground for a second and said "y/n." spinel grinned in hearing your name. "it's nice to meet you y/n! anyways, i have to go now. i'll catch ya round buddy!" she said before walking pass you and out of the alleyway.

you stood there, not knowing what to do next, then you felt something thrown at you at the back of your head. you whiffed your head around, ready to kill whoever did that but no one is there.

you looked down to see the same chocolate bar spinel has, you picked it up the ground and smiled a little before a voice is heard that made your small little happy moment vanish.

"you didn't complete the mission."

"i can complete this stupid mission any damn time, what's the rush." you said, firmly gripping the bar. "you know boss isn't gonna be too happy hearing that you're slacking off."

"who cares what the old asshole says." you started to walk away with your hand stuffed in your pockets, "you know what they'll do to you if you get attached."

you scoffed "who says i'll be attached."
