" say, y/n. how bout it's time for me to meet your parents? "

you turned to face your lover with a stuffed mouth as you're eating a sandwich, spinel giggled at your face and she took the sandwich out of your mouth then also took a bite out of it.

"i guess..." you said with uncertainty.

"you guess? we've been dating for a year and a half, i think i'm ready of meeting your markers!" she said proudly, you hummed "well, i'm not ready."

spinel raised a brow at you "why? are they like those crazy humans who don't like gays?" you furiously shook your head "no no. they're better than that. they're just..." you slammed your hands onto your face and groaned onto it.

"what?? you're makin' me worry doll!"

"they treat me like a baby even though i'm a grown up now!" you finally admitted, you laid back on the couch with your hand still covering your face.

spinel looked at you and huffed, she got off the couch and sat down at the floor. "well, you are kind of a baby." she snickered, you looked at her through the gaps of your fingers.

"hey." you warned with your voice growing deeper, spinel giggled and grabbed your hands off your face. "it'll be fine, i bet they're wonderful people who just love their beautiful daughter." she said as she pinched your cheeks softly.

you looked deep into spinel's magenta hues, you see no second thought crossing her mind, seems like you have no choice. you sighed and sat up from the couch.

"alright, let's meet them this weekend."
spinel grinned then jumped up to hug you, you yelped and hugged back. "you better help me give them a good first impression."

you chuckled "of course."

"okay... this is it." the two of you stopped in front of a lawn of your childhood house before you moved out. spinel cleared her throat and fixed her tie.

"nervous?" you smirked, spinel scoffed and her offered arm for you the hold. "never! let's go meet ya parents!" she said with confident but her voice kinda cracked in the end that made you laugh.

as the both of you stepped on the porch, spinel was about to press the door bell but the front door was swung open by two men with big smiles on their faces.

"y/n! oh my goodness, it's been a while since we've seen your face!" one man said with ecstatic in his voice "and you must be spinel, y/n girlfriend!" the other said as he held out his hand.

spinel looked at the two men with wide eyes before smiling widely as well, she gladly accepted your old man's hand and shook it.
