the pink gem yelled at the hybrid while clenching her fists, steven held his hands trying to calm the gem down. "no no, that's not what i said- i just think that y/n needs a proper role model."

spinel's eye twitched, she looked down at the small child who's hiding behind her while gripping her shorts. the gem slightly calmed down and rubbed your head softly.

"spinel, there's already a family who's wants to take care of y/n. so please, hand her over." spinel slowly turned her head back to steven and growled furiously.

"like hell i'd give her to you." she held your head softly, steven sighed and looked at you. he flashed you a smile and started walking towards you.

"hey, back the fuck up universe!"

"hi y/n, come on. let's go and meet your new family." he said, you looked up at spinel then back at steven "b- but, i have spinel."

steven pursed his lips "i'm sorry but she isn't suitable of taking care of you." he grabbed you small hand and started pulling out of the door. you struggled to get out of the boy's grip but he held your wrist tight but not too tight.

spinel grunted in anger "steven let her go!" she inflated her fist and threw it at steven, he set up a shield just in time to block it. spinel jumped up in midair and started throwing her fists down hard onto steven's shield.

from all the force of the punches, his feet started to dig the ground. steven threw his shield at spinel which made her hit the ceiling.

blinded by rage, spinel got down to the ground and got her rejuvenator out of her gem, that is modified, and charged at steven.

steven didn't have the time to set a shield up and rejuvenator..

everybody's eye widened as blood started dripping down, spinel dropped the rejuvenator and caught you before you fell to the ground.

"oh god. no no no y/n... i'm sorry i'm sorry- i didn't mean to-" spinel sobbed and held your body close, you trembled as the pain keeps getting worse and worse.

"spinel... it hurts so bad..." you mumbled as you gripped spinel's arm tightly, spinel looked at you directly in the eyes and caressed your cheeks softly as tears fall.

"just calm down, i'm here.. i ain't never gonna leave you..." she said.
