" hey! hey back up! "

spinel growled at the gem who attempt to talk to you about something, you pursed your lips and held the gem's hand tightly.

"maybe you should take it easy spins- ow.." you rubbed your head as a twig landed to your head, spinel's eye twitched and glared at the twig.

"how dare you?! she's been through enough!" spinel shouted, she snatched the twig off the ground and snapped it into million pieces.

as her job is done, spinel rubbed her hands together and sighed, she went back to your side and held your hand tightly. you looked down at her hand then at her, "love, i think you should take it easy. nothing in this world is gonna hurt me bad." you said.

spinel looked at you with an eyebrow raised "no way! what if somethin' unexpected happened and it immediately hurted you???" the gem said with slight shrill in her tone but you patted her head softly and gripped her hand in reassurance.

"i'll be fine, come on. let's grab some donuts before we go home, okay?" you said as you tilted your head to the side to completely saw her face, spinel frowned and shoved your face out of her, you giggled and knew her face is red.

you tugged her hand, beckoning her to come along now.
while walking heading to the big donut, you abruptly stopped making spinel stop too and make her look at your face.

"y/n? what's wrong?" she asked, you slowly shook your head and nervously giggled, you turned to face her and smiled "n-nothing, let's go home. the big donut is closed, i forgot."

"huh? but there's people going in." you bit your lip and tugged on spinel's hand, "i- i forgot i was fasting." you tried to convince spinel so you could leave quickly.

"alright, we're not going anywhere unless you tell what's going on." spinel said as she tugged you close to her, you sighed. you placed your hand to your face and looked to the big donut.

"my ex... he's there. i thought he left beach city to be with his side bitch." you muttered, you stopped looking at the building and hung your head low.

spinel looked to the guy who's talking to a chick while leaning against his motorcycle, she sent the guy a glare then back at you.
"forget him, he ain't gonna bother you now more. you know what, i'll get what we came here for, okay?" spinel bent down slightly to match your height and cup your cheeks, you nodded then spinel softly smiled.

she pecked your lips before running to the big donut, you clasped your hand to your mouth and watched the pink gem get inside the big donut. you sighed and leaned against the pole, clenching your clothed heart tightly, you can hear your heart beating fast.
