as your heels clap along the marble flooring, you can hear wailings and screams all around you as you pass rooms. some are looking out of their open window pasted on their door, silently watching you.

you didn't pay any mind to them and just have her in your mind, clouding you with worry and regret.

"we're here." the staff said as the two of you stopped in front of a metal door just like the rest, you took a deep breath and exhaled sharply "be care, she can be a little aggressive." the staff warned.

you chuckled "it's fine, she knows who i am. i hope." the staff nodded, they unlocked the doors and pushed it open, they stepped aside then you entered a plain white room and at the corner, spinel sat there with a white cloth of some sort wrapped around her body.

as the door closes, spinel slowly looked up and to her surprise, it's you. she smiled "y/n!" she stood up and tried to run towards you but she was abruptly stopped as she's held back by the chains around her feet.

you frowned, you slowly walked up to her and sat down at a distance she can't reach, spinel sat down as well and sighed deeply.

"how's it going?" you asked, trying to strike up a conversation. spinel shrugged "it's good i guess, the food here sucks and i can't pee by myself anymore." you lightly chuckled.

"what are you doing here anyways?" she asks, as you're about to answer her, spinel cutted in "are you gonna get me out?"

you stopped for a moment, you never really thought of getting her out since she needs help though you do regret sending her here but it's for her own good.

"n-no not reall-"

"why?! i wanna get out of here y/n! every damn day it's always the same screaming, the same food. there's no end!" she said, you tried to think of something to say.

"i can't even remember what real food tastes like, y/n i need you to bust me out of this place!"

you took a deep breath and looked at spinel straight in the eyes "i know you wanna get out here but this is for your own good, steven and i-"

"steven?" she cut you off once again, she hung her head low and started giggling. "so you and steven are a thing now huh?" she said, her voice dangerously low.

"what? no, him and connie are together, besides i have you-"

"shut up! you never loved me didn't you?! you just setted me up here, all locked up so you could go cruising with steven fucking universe! WOW WHAT A PLAN!" she shouted.

you frowned and shook your head, "me and steven are friends! him and connie are a couple, why would i be a third wheel for them?"

spinel laughed as she rolled her head back and grinned at you widely "i should have killed you that night." as she said that, your heart sank.

"what?"

"if you haven't come home that night, i wouldn't be in this goddamn asylum but no! you just have to be there to ruin it, don'tcha?! you stupid bitch!" spinel spat at you.

this isn't the spinel you loved, this is a different person you're talking to.

you slowly stood up to which spinel copied "where you going doll?" she asked as she tilted her head, you didn't answer her and started to back up.

"hey, don't leave. you just got here. y/n!" she called out, as you met the metal door, you turned around, knocked onto it three times and returned your gaze back at spinel.

she just stood there, motionless, when she looked up to face you, her face held on emotions at all. it's scaring you.

as the staff finally opened the door, you quickly got out of there but before the door closes fully. you heard her say;

"wait for me."
