maintaining a first class space ship is quite tiring, spinel as the captain of the crew she drank more caffeine than a normal human being can.

"captain?" pearl said, spinel slowly spun her chair around and face pearl, her first commander. "yes?" she said lowly while rubbing her eyes.

"there seems to be a person roaming around the hyperdrive chamber." spinel took a deep breath, "okay." she stood up and grabbed her staff that is leaning against the controls.

"also, please take a rest. you've been flying the ship for awhile." spinel lightly nodded before going out of the control room. she walked to the elevator and pressed the ground floor button.

she waited for a bit, people are chattering behind her minding their own business. then the elevator door opened to see some people in it, they recognised spinel and made some space for her.

spinel got in and waited for her destination.

as got to the ground floor of the ship which is the mall area, i know it's first class. spinel walked over to the employees room only door and went downstairs which has a light blue hues emitting from below.

the captain finally reached the finally step, she gripped her staff tightly and looked around. spinel looked to her right to see the big hyperdrive pulsating softly it's beautiful light blue hues.

then some metal clanking was heard and some groaning, spinel raised her eyebrow and slowly walked towards it. as she turned to a corner, she saw a girl dressed up in a cadet uniform and is kneeled down while rummaging through the hyperdrive.

"hey." spinel spoke up, the girl turned her head to spinel. she gasped and quickly stood up, she grabbed her back right next to her and made a run for it.

spinel frowned, she ran to the other side and pushed the girl onto the ground with her staff. "what the hell are you doing here?" she kneeled down and grabbed the girl's hood then took it off.

her magenta eyes are met with (e/c) ones, you're struggling to get the captain off you but it's no use. "lemme see what you have." spinel said as she tried to reach for your bag.

your eyes widened then you snaked your hand to your hip "a knife!" you slashed the knife in front of spinel which made her jump up. you grinned and started running again.

spinel threw her staff at your shirt making it caught onto the wall, she ran towards you and snatched the bag out of your hand. you gripped the staff but it electrocuted you in the process.

"so you're steal these vibranium crystals? what are ya? a hustler? thief?"

"a scavenger thank you very much for asking." you spat at spinel, spinel chuckled and swung the bag over her shoulder.

"i'll ya lead to the trains, and make sure you never come back here." she said before pulling her staff off you, she grabbed your shoulder and hastily pulled you up to the stairs.

the two of you got out of the hyperdrive chamber and headed to the train station which is way up to the highest floor of the ship. jesus....

as the two of you got on to the elevator, it's just the both of you in this metal box with an awkward silence engulfing.

"what are you gonna do with these crystals anyways?" spinel asked as she tried to strike up a conversation "sell them of course. those babies sell billions back in netherian."

"that's where you live?"

you shook your head "i'm in the kepler system. took me alot of credits to get this damned ship." spinel raised her eyebrow "so you want me to pat your back with that."

you scoffed "you're something captain. aside from those deep eye bug which you really need some sleep, i think i kinda like you." you winked making spinel look away.

you giggled and leaned closer to tease spinel "i haven't told you my name. it's y/n."

"you're a bad scavenger if you told me your name."

"but what if it's not my real name?" you made an explosion effect with your hands to your head, "whatever, it's spinel." you smiled and held out your hand to her.

spinel looked down at your hand then gladly shook it, then the elevator dinged and it opened it's doors to reveal an open but glassed dome.

the two of you stepped out, you looked up into to stars quite fascinated by it's beauty. "never seen stars before?"

"it just never fails to amaze me." you mumbled, spinel looked at your eyes that are sparkling, this does puts a smile on her face. then a loud horn was heard and a yellow came out of the wormhole.

"c'mon." spinel said as she softly grabbed your shoulder, you pulled your eyes out of the stars and looked at spinel's hand. you can feel your heart beat louder than usual.

the train doors opened letting the people waiting to get in, you and spinel turned to face each other. spinel grabbed the bag off her shoulder and opened it "you said these crystals costed a billion?"

spinel gave the bag back to you, you furrowed "why are you giving it to me? aren't you like gonna put it back to the hyperdrive?" but the captain only shook her head "we've got plenty of those."

"you rich people are crazy." you said as you swung the bag over your shoulder, you started walking towards the train's doors. but before you could step in.

"i'll be coming back soon cap! bet on that!" you said as you jumped into the train. you waved your goodbye to spinel while the doors close.

spinel slow waved back and the train started to move slowly then it went to the wormhole heading to who knows where.

spinel lets her hand fall to her side, she looked out into the empty space and yawned.

"i need a nap."
