the small gap of the blinds letting the sunlight get in the room, the soft chirping of the birds from the outside sounds like a morning lullaby.

slowly fluttering your eyes open, a small smile came to your face as you're face to face with your lover's sleeping face.

you huffed and slowly raised your hand to softly caress her cheek. her soft light chocolate skin glowing from the slight sunlight coming from the blinds.

looking at her endearingly, it's quite hard to get use to her beauty. her face is so peaceful, but spinel groaned and fluttered her eyes open.

her beautiful magenta hues landed to yours, her smile warms your insides. "mornin' y/n." she said with her morning voice, raspy and husky, you could listen to that all day.

"good morning." you said as you continued to caress her cheek, spinel hummed and leaned against your soft touch.
"so... what are we gonna do today?" spinel softly asked, you can feel her arm slowly coil around your waist to pull you closer to her.

you placed your onto spinel's chest, hearing her stable heartbeat "just stay in bed i guess." you muttered, you wrapped your arms around spinel's waist also and sighed contently.

"sounds good to me." she said, she patted your head softly and ran her fingers through your locks. it's slowly letting you go back to sleep as it's quite relaxing, a few minutes passed, you ended up sleeping again.

spinel pulled away slightly to see if you're really asleep, she smiled. she bent down to give your forehead a kiss before hugging you again, she also started to fall asleep too.

despite the morning calls of the birds from outside, it wouldn't hurt sleeping in more with your lover.
