quickly running into the road to catch a rogue kitten, you bent down to grab it by it's body but it hissed at you which made you let go and ran away.

you slumped your arms down in dismay, you thought that kitten will be your new friend.

"y/n, what are you doing?!" spinel screamed from the sidewalk, you quickly turned to face her with a concerned look "what?" you said.

then you heard a loud honking, screeching sound from your right, before you could even know what it is. spinel whipped her arm to grab you to safety.

as the car drove by while shouting at you. taking a sigh of relief, you rolled your head back to face spinel with a smile "thanks for saving me back there."

spinel grumbled then uncoiled her arm around you and started walking. you immediately went by her side while skipping happily.

"why would you go to a busy road?" spinel asked, not giving you a glance. "there was a kitty and i thought i could keep them." you said simply.

then the gem noticed ronaldo carried stacks of boxes heading towards their way, she paid no attention to it yet. "you gotta be careful ya know, you're like that kid in that one show." spinel rubbed her chin as she tried to remember what it was.

then a light bulb came to "milo murphy?" spinel snapped her fingers "yeah, that's the one!" she snickered, you rolled your eyes.

"whoa! watch out!" ronaldo shouted as he tripped on a rock which caused the boxes fall and one box in particular has dozen upon dozens of mouse traps.

spinel's eyes widened as she saw the that box is heading towards you, she immediately grabbed you and pull placed you beside her.

as all of the boxes finally dropped down, there are a bunch of blueprints, pens, even a telescope and those fucking mouse traps. watch it fryboy! also, what's with the mouse traps? got a rat godzilla in your house?!" spinel growled.

"yes! well, not a godzilla type but still!" ronaldo shot back as he fixed his glasses and started picking up his things. spinel gripped your wrist and started walking again but you stayed a little.

"wait, aren't we gonna help him?" you asked but spinel tugged you, signalling that you shouldn't. you sighed and let her pull you to wherever.

"where are we going anyways?" you asked, trying to catch up in her speed "home. it's much more safer than outside." the gem said with her tone of voice low.

you slowly nodded and the walking is silent. you looked up to see a dangling piano above, you lowered your head again to see some people waving their hand around to lower it.

"spins, there's a piano." you pointed up, spinel raised her head and quickly moved out of the way and did a roundabout of the parked pickup truck.

spinel still didn't stay anything but it's fine, she's just trying to protect you from all these accidents.
then two of you finally reached your house.

spinel sighed in relief and slowly withdrew her hand from your wrist. "finally, we're home." the gem turned around and ushered you to go up the porch since you have the key.

you nodded and quickly fished out the key of the house as you stepped up the stairs and faced the door. you inserted the key and twisted it open as well turning on the lights inside.

"come on." you said as you waved your hand, as the two of you are inside, spinel shut the door close and instantly wrapped her slinky arms around your waist.

you giggled and rubbed spinel's head from behind "you wanna go to bed?" and the gem nodded in response, she placed her chin on your shoulder and kissed your cheek.
"let's sleep early." and you couldn't agree more.
