as you grabbed the bag from the counter, your heartbeat races faster than before. you thanked the person behind the counter and went out of the store.

you opened the bag and closed it again, taking a deep breath before hurriedly going to your house.
you gripped the knob and lightly twisted it, you peeked inside to see if anyone is inside.

nobody. good.

you raced upstairs, lightly placed the bag on the edge of the bed and aggressively opened your closet letting some of the clothes swing from the wind.

you looked for a perfect outfit for tonight.
this has to be flawless.

"y/n said to be here..." spinel said to herself as she re read the sticky note she found on the front of when she got home.

humming to herself, spinel looked up as she saw some candles sticking from the sand near the shoreline. she folded the paper and went close to it.

as she's just meters away, she noticed some rose petals scattered, a wine bottle with two glasses and a picnic basket.

"what's all this?" she asked herself, then spinel's eyes got covered and that made her flinch and go into combat mode but she relaxed as she heard your soft voice.

"jeez, don't scary me like that." spinel said as she turned around, you grinned and lowered your hands. "you like it?" you asked as you signalled at the little picnic you made.

"it's cute." the gem said as she slowly coiled her arm around your waist, spinel whistled as she saw your outfit. "wowie, my goodness y/n. you even look ravishing tonight."

you giggled and caressed her cheek "shall we have a drink?" you asked, spinel nodded. the two of you sat down at the clothe behind you and you popped the wine out.

spinel handed you the glasses and looked out of the horizon, seeing the waves growing smaller and smaller as it reaches the shore.

you handed the glass of wine to spinel, you grabbed your own glass and took a small sniff of the fresh wine. "so why did you bring me here y/n?" the gem asked with her brow raised with a small smirk on her lips.

you chuckled and lightly placed your glass down "i guess i can't keep up the act." you said as you grabbed it out the back of your pants pocket.

"act?" spinel asked as she tilted her head.

you took a deep breath as you closed your eyes then exhaled deeply, spinel frowned getting a little worried "y/n, what-" but you held up your hand, stopping her.

"i'm getting there." you said. you clenched your fist, feeling it make a mark on your hand.

"spinel. when i first met you, it felt like you already taken me to the stars. the feeling is surreal that it's overwhelming. when we started dating, we're awkward as fuck." you giggled that made spinel snicker.

"from the times i made you cry, it broke my heart seeing those tears flow down your beautiful eyes. the times we fought is the most heartbreaking times but at the end of the day we always made up." you bit your lower lip, trying not to cry in front of her.

"spinel. being with you has been the greatest roller coaster i've ever been in and also the most beautiful swan ride i had and i want to have that forever. all i'm trying to say is-" you sat up with one knee and opened your fist, letting her see the diamond ring.

you grabbed it with your fingers and held it up to her "-will you marry me?" spinel clasped her hands to her mouth, tears started brimming in her eyes.

spinel sat up with also in one knee, she grabbed something out of her gem. you gasped then giggled "i guess ya took the words out of my mouth." she said as she rubbed the back of her neck as she offered the jelly donut.

"yes! i love you so much!" you shouted and engulfed her with a hug. spinel reluctantly hugged back before letting her own tears stream down, making your shoulder wet.

"i love you too y/n!" she pulled away from the hug then smashed her lips onto yours, you didn't hesitate on kissing back. you unconsciously grabbed spinel's hand and placed the ring in her ring finger.

and you held the donut.

the two of you pulled away, letting you breath. you took deep silent pants, letting the sound of the waves take over the two of you, savoring the moment.

"i can hear the wedding bells." spinel said with a massive smile on her face, she pressed her forehead onto yours.

"let's get married."
