Chapter 91: Hidden Estate

They all stared at the two figures who came. Ringo still not moving away her blade from Sanemi's neck.

"You're crazy." Sanemi said gulping down.

"Am I? Thank you." Ringo replied.

Mei then approached Ringo and gently held her right shoulder. Mei slowly put a hand on the blade looking at Ringo, she slowly moved it down. Mei then grabbed Ringo's fake arm from Sanemi's hand as she glare angrily at him.

"Master's not here so you guys are free to leave. We still have patients and children here so don't cause some worthless chaos." Mei sternly said looking at them.

"We—"

"Shut up or I'll cut your tongue you cocky serpent." Mei spat cutting Obanai off.

"If she's hiding then tell her to come out, we don't have all day to talk." Shinobu said.

"Sorry but, Master's not really here. Besides, we don't look like we're lying are we?" Kai replied staying on his spot.

"This is not a place to fight. Please—"

"Who are you two anyway? Don't come picking your noses on others business." Tengen said cutting Fuji off.

'If only I have permission to eat any of you, you'll be my first meal idiotic dumbass!'
Fuji exclaimed angrily in her mind as she glare at Tengen.

"There. There. Calm down now." Kai said gently patting her right shoulder.

Just as Shinjuro's about to talk again, Ringo faced them with her usual serious expression and walked past them and towards Tanjiro.

"Kamado Tanjiro, that's your name right?" Ringo said looking at him.

"*gulped*.... Y-Yes I am."

"And your sister's a demon." Ringo added.

Her words made Tanjiro tense up as he nod slowly. Ringo then faced Shinobu.

"Kocho Shinobu, as a slayer you have the duty to slay demons. Just by looking at you, I could see how much you hate them."

"So what?"

"Let me ask you then. Have you ever put yourself in the same situation as this moron here?" Ringo asked as she point her left index finger at Tanjiro.

'Mo-Moron?!'
Tanjiro thought.

Shinobu's eyes widened but went back to normal shortly then narrowed at Ringo.

"I see, so it's a no." Ringo said.

She then looked at everyone.

"How about the rest of you? Have you ever put yourselves in other people's shoes and imagine their suffering?" Ringo asked.

Everyone of them looked down and avoided eye contact with her. They all went silent.

"Please don't talk about other people's hardships like it's nothing. Everyone suffered and are protecting humans! They are fighting for the safety of other people!" Tanjiro said which made Ringo turn around and face him.

Although he's quite scared of her, he mustered up all his courage to say those words.

"Kid. Don't talk like you and the rest here have been through a cycle of hell." Ringo blurted out as she grab Tanjiro's chin and made him look up, he winced at how harsh she held him.
"You lost your family? I've met people who just had the same case as yours. Your sister turned into a demon, well I don't pity you at all. Losing a family and loved ones hurts and it's painful I know. But don't use such an excuse just to justify what you think is right. 'Everyone suffered and are protecting humans.'? Pathetic." She continued letting go of Tanjiro's chin harshly.
