The End

Chase's POV

Nakapamulsa ako habang nakasunod sa dalawa na nagmamadaling naglalakad sa hallway.

"We don't have much time left." ani Matilda. "Mnemosyne's domain is the only place that's left of the realms of time... and it's already crumbling to pieces, Ria."

"But it's still holding up after all this time?" Nakakunot-noong tanong ni Ria.

Tumango si Matilda. "There's only two people who have power over this domain. One immortal, and one mortal."

"This part of the realms of time is the last to disappear because even though Mnemosyne is gone, her power, her blood, continues to exist." dagdag pa niya.

"Cesia." bulong ko.

Nagpakawala ng mahinang tawa si Matilda. "Mnemosyne already knew that, didn't she? Kaya ipinadala ka niya rito."

"Kasi alam niyang matatagalan pa bago maglaho ang domain niya..." dugtong ni Ria. "Dahil buhay pa si Cesia."

"Pero bakit ako ang gusto niyang ipadala rito? Bakit hindi si Cesia?" karagdagan niyang tanong.

Huminto si Matilda dahilan na mapahinto rin kami. "It's not Mnemosyne who sent you here, Ria."

"Then tell me, sino?"

"You tried to end yourself, didn't you?" Pinaningkitan ni Matilda si Ria na takang-taka. "Someone else knew that you're going to lose against your past, against Chaos, and so, he or she or whatever it is, sent you here, in a place where you cannot die, para kahit matalo ka, mabubuhay ka pa rin."

Nag-abot ang aking kilay. "May pumuprotekta sa'min." Naalala ko ang sinabi ni Achlys sa'kin. "Matilda, sino?"

Kumibit-balikat siya. "That's what I want to know, too."

"If the one that's protecting you is as powerful as Chaos and has the power to control everything..." Kumislap ang kanyang mga matang nakatuon sa'min. "Then consider yourselves the luckiest in the realms because you're being protected by one of the most and ancient powerful forces in the entire universe."

"Chase." Hinarap ako ni Matilda. "What else did Achlys tell you?"

Magsasalita na sana ako nang biglang nagbago ang aming kapaligiran. Nasa rooftop na kami ng building at sa dulo, natagpuan ko ang aking sarili na kausap si Achlys.

"We're in the realm of memories." Sinenyasan kami ni Matilda na sundan siya. "This place changes according to your memories."

Lumapit kami kay Achlys para pakinggan nang maigi ang sinabi niya sa'kin.

Samantalang ako naman, napatitig lang ako sa sarili ko.

Nice. Ang gwapo ko pa rin pala kahit gulong-gulo na yung hitsura ko.

"That symbol on your wrist, do you know what it means? Do you know who gave that to you?"

Otomatikong umangat ang mga braso namin ni Ria dahil sabay kaming napatingin sa gintong simbolo na nakaukit sa aming balat.

"When you finally chose to change the future, that symbol appeared..."

"That symbol, the Omega, it means the end." ani Matilda. "And it appeared when we chose to win the rebellion..."

"There is a reason why an Alpha becomes an Omega. It is because after every end, is a new beginning."

"It is strange." puna ni Matilda. "You're name, the Alphas, means the beginning... and yet, you were chosen to become Omegas, the end."
