Seht's POV

I leaned against the counter of the nurse station while killing Hector inside my mind.

"Should we gouge out his eyes?" I suggested. "I have the medical expertise to do so. It's also not a coincidence we're in a hospital."

He sighed. "Look, I'm sorry."

My brows furrowed as I exchanged looks with Cal who was leaning on the other end of the counter.

"I don't know why I did everything I did, but I know it was wrong." aniya.

I snickered. "You really think it will be that easy to forgive you?"

He gave me a weak smile. "No, I never thought that."

"Seht..."

My lips formed a sarcastic smile. "Thea, he knew what he was doing at that time and he still chose to do it."

But my smile quickly faded the moment I saw her look down on the floor.

"Lahat tayo may karapatang magbago..." She slowly lifted her head to look at me with pleading eyes.

What did I do wrong to her?

I continued to stare at her when a sad smile drew across her face.

Why?

Bahagyang tumagilid ang kanyang ulo. "Hmm?"

I blinked several times in a second before looking at Hector who seemed distant from the rest of us.

After a few seconds, I finally realized why Thea said all those things to me.

I remember now, that she attempted to kill her younger sister before...

"Thea-" I had a hard time recovering from what I said. "I- I didn't mean-"

"I'm-" I took a deep breath. "I'm sorry if what I said hurt you."

"Destiny was supposed to be your enemy, but since he changed sides, it's Chaos who's mad at you now and wants to erase everything."

Chaos... he's the reason why all of us suffered in the past. Destiny made the choice to protect us when we were still very young, some of us, weren't even born yet. And the moment Destiny made that choice, Chaos already knew we were going to win the rebellion, and that despite the consequences, despite his efforts to erase us from existence, Destiny will still keep us alive.
