About two hours later, Paul and Tommy arrived back home. They decided to clean the house a bit and get ready for date night. "Let's start in the kitchen. " said Tommy. "Or I can clean the kitchen and you can do your bathroom. Mine stays clean." He was flipped off as Paul walked out laughing. "Mine is too." It took about two hours to complete cleaning and laundry. While Paul decided on what to cook for dinner, Tommy headed to his room to charge his phone. He offered to go to the store if needed.
"I'm good." "Hey, could you look through the mail and tell me if the water bill showed up?" "It's from Waterworks Inc." called Paul.
"Sure." Tommy sorted the mail into stacks until he came to the blue envelope . "For me?" he asked to himself. Tucking it into his pocket, he handed Paul the other three stacks and headed to his room. The envelope was in his back pocket.
Sitting on the bed, Tommy opened it and pulled out an invitation. "WHAT!!!??? NO!!!!" he cried, bringing Paul running.
"Baby?" asked Paul worriedly. "Tom, talk to me."
Tommy dropped the invitation and ran outside. His eyes were filled with tears and about to spill over. "HE HAD THE NERVE TO SEND ME AN INVITATION TO HIS WEDDING!!!""I HATE HIM!!!"
Inside the room, Paul picked up the invitation and read it. "Poor kid." He took the invitation and envelope to the kitchen and put it in the top drawer. Sighing, he headed outside to the porch to see if he could calm Tommy down. "Tommy?" "Where are you?"
He could hear heart breaking crying from the side porch swing so he headed that way. His boyfriend was a sobbing mess. Putting his arms around Tommy, Paul held him close until he finished crying.
"Let it all out. Sh, I got you." said Paul softly. "Come on, it's gonna be okay." Paul rubbed his back until Tommy was sniffling. "It's okay."
Finally Paul convinced Tommy to go try to take a nap until dinner was ready. "I'll wake you up."
Nodding his head, Tommy headed to the couch to lay down. He fell asleep shortly afterwards.
Paul set the dinner into the oven to cook and headed to his room. He set up the candles and roses in the bathroom and closed the door. He dug through the bedroom closet for his ice bucket and took it to the kitchen.
Around five he woke Tommy up. "Sweetheart, dinner's almost ready."
"Could I take a quick shower?"
"Take your time. Dinner still has about twenty minutes."
While Tommy showered, Paul quickly changed and brushed his hair.
