Tommy was trying to wrap his head around the fact that he had been asleep for three days. "You mean I didn't wake up once?"

"No. You were half dead when Gene walked in and found you. He carried you to my car and I brought you to my place. Do you want to shower or eat first?"

"You're so casual about the whole thing. What's up?"

Paul looked at Tommy in disbelief. "You've become cynical now?"

Tommy looked up with a touch of doubt in his eyes. "I'm not cynical. I just have trouble coming to terms with the fact I made it here with a fever of 103. Without killing myself in the process."He got up and noticed his bags in the spare room. "I guess I'm showering first. I don't know if I can keep much down."

Paul suggested that Tommy take a bath instead since he was still weak. "I don't want you to fall."

In the kitchen, Paul started dinner while keeping an ear tuned towards the bathroom.

In the bathroom, Tommy sat on the floor until the tub filled. He felt a little better but not a lot. His head still hurt and he felt sweaty and weak. "Yuck."

Paul finally heard his band mate come into the kitchen.
