Leaving

Paul was finishing up the last of his packing before heading to the hospital to tell Tommy. He knew his husband probably wouldn't take the news well so he brought along chocolates and roses.

Heading into the room, he found a very pale Tom under the covers. Pat looked up from the chair where he had been asleep. "Paul, he's not doing much better. He was sick half the night, so he's only been asleep for about three hours. Is there any way you guys can postpone the first few shows?"

"I don't have much control over that. I know he's better off staying here, in the care of a doctor."

Pat couldn't disagree so he told Paul that he was choosing the worst time to leave. "If he's already insecure about your faithfulness, this is going to make him flip." "I won't be held responsible for what happens after this point. You know the two of us traveling together isn't a good idea." "I'll tell him you guys had to head out earlier than expected." 

Paul backed out and left before Pat flipped out on him further. "I'll call him tomorrow."

Once Paul had gone, Pat sat back down and tried to go back to sleep. He hoped that Tommy wouldn't turn hormonal on the cross-country train ride. It wasn't the moodiness and tears he was worried about, it was the over excited sex cravings that bothered him.
