When Paul came back into the room, he saw the nurse adjusting Tommy's breathing tube. "Is he going to need one when we go home? If so, where do I get one?" he asked. He noticed Tommy was pale. "Tommy, baby?"

Tommy looked up and gave Paul a weak smile before closing his eyes and covering himself up.

"Feeling a bit sick." came the reply. "Could I get some soup or something?" he asked. "I haven't eaten."

Paul asked if he could bring Tommy something.

The nurse got permission to let Paul bring Tommy food. "What do you want?"

"Something soft. Soup maybe, maybe a sandwich, water definitely." Tommy gave Paul a list of several things. "I'll understand if you can't bring it all."

Paul headed out and back down to the cafeteria. He hoped the antibiotics would work so Tommy could come home soon. He really missed his boyfriend. His smile, his laugh, his presence. he really missed him just being there.

Finally his list of food was ready so he headed back upstairs to Tommy's room. "Baby, I was able to get everything. What do you want first?"

"Soup. Could you feed me, please?"

"Of course."

Just as Tommy swallowed the last spoonful of soup, the doctor came in. "Mr. Thayer, your test results are in."

"Could I stay for them?" asked Paul.

"Yes. Mr. Thayer has double pneumonia, in other words, in both lungs. He also has a slight concussion still and the flu. Until we can have the breathing test come back at least reading 80%, he has to stay here."

"What?" "No!" "I have a tour to do!"

"Tom, we will discuss this later."

Tommy turned away from Paul and the doctor, now upset. He tuned out the rest of the conversation.
