Hide Your Heart

First Therapy Session

The Monday of Tommy's first therapy session rolled around. He had been reluctant to do it in the room so the therapist had him brought to her office. As they waited on Pat, Tommy tried to keep his eyes averted. He thought she was gorgeous and was trying to hide that fact.

"Tom, sorry ...oh shit she's hot!" Pat managed to get out as he walked in. "Um...sorry I'm late."

After introductions were made, the three of them sat down and started to talk. Pat finally got up and made his way outside. He ran into Gene and Eric in the hallway. "Hey guys, I think I'm scheduling myself for therapy." he mumbled.

"Is he scary?" laughed Gene.

"Hell no! She's hot!" came the reply.

"She?" questioned Paul, walking up. "Who?"

"Tom's therapist."

An hour later, the door opened and the therapist wheeled Tommy out. "You did great today. I'll see you on Wednesday at ten."

Tommy just blushed deeply and nodded. 

The others stood there watching her go back inside. Finally Gene spoke, "My God! I wouldn't have been able to say anything!"

"That's my ex!" exclaimed Eric, finally. 

The other three looked at him. "What!?"

"Sarah's my ex. We split when she went to college but I talk to her a lot." 

Gene face palmed. "I can't believe you don't have feelings for her anymore. She's...."

"Married and has children." said Eric.

Tommy was still blushing. "Do you want me to change therapists?" 

"No. I'm cool."

After taking Tommy back upstairs, Paul spoke up. "Did it help at all?" 

"I-I-I looked at the carpet the whole time. I talked to her shoes so I wouldn't blush in front of her." "I feel stupid."

Paul snickered. "AW, it's okay. You're embarrassed because you find her attractive. It's cute. I'm cool with it."

"You are?" 

"It's natural, sweetheart. It's okay. I promise."

Tommy still felt stupid. He tried to hide the fact he was infatuated with her. "Eric probably drove her nuts talking." he finally laughed.

"I bet."

Paul hoped Tommy would feel comfortable talking to him soon.
