"Okay, sweetheart. We lift off in five minutes. Why don't you lean the seat back after we're in the air and sleep?"
"I'll try. I wanted to stay awake but I'm not feeling too good."
"We could have stayed at home." "Are you nauseated?"
"I-I-I threw up all night but I didn't want to ruin this for you. I've already done that enough."
"Oh, baby." "I would have been okay with it."
The plane taking off nearly made Tommy throw up again. He was immediately covered up as Paul made him lay in his lap. "You are not to get up until we land." Paul's hands went to Tommy's stomach. "Rest."
Tommy drifted off immediately. Paul wanted to fuss at him but he closed his own eyes and fell asleep.
