Tommy was now five months along and Eric was 17 weeks. Tommy was back in L.A. trying to decide on a room for the nursery while Eric was hoping to find out what the gender of his was. He wanted a girl, Gene a boy.
Tommy desperately wanted at least one girl. He really wanted two girls. He had yet to tell Jaime.
Paul flew back and forth so Tommy didn't have to. He was just getting ready to go back after taking Tommy to dinner. "Please let me know the gender." "I love you three."
Tommy was sad to see his husband have to leave again. "I'll be so glad when this tour is over."
"I know, baby, so will I." "You're five months now so when the tour ends, you'll be eight."
"Paul, is it okay if I tell Jaime? I think he needs to know."
"I suppose so. I have to board now."
Tommy waited until Paul's flight left. He texted Jaime before driving home.
The answer came later. "I can't be. I can't have children. Sorry kid but those aren't mine. Tell your husband."
Tommy stared in disbelief. "I-I-I can't believe it!" "Oh my God!" He re-read the text several times. "Oh my God!"
As he re-read it for the tenth time, he grew worried that he would be there by himself for another three months. He had started gaining weight back and felt better though.
